That first picture is making me thirsty. The sponsor actually looks good on it, and wasn't the template for the away used for Italy's training kits for the Euros?

Straight out of the new puma teamwear catalogue, and into the prem. Not really keen on the home at all, looks pretty cheap, while the change is okay.

Puma could have at least given them a shirt style used by the bigger boys on Pumas roster, what was wrong with the style used by Sporting Portugal and swapping the green for blue, and the black shorts for navy or white?

The Puma shoulder band should be blue. Looks completely random in red. Would have made more sense if they'd stuck with a red away kit.

But they didn't, so it's stupid.

Absolute pish! Reading deserved something special for their first season back in the big time and get this cack handed mess instead.

Where to start - hoops too wide and not enough of them, random red shoulder (why red for heaven's sake?), enormous flappy sleeves like bat wings, the only saving graces might be if the hopps continue right round the back and the sponsor is relatively restrained and complements rather than ruins the shirt.

Away is 100% teamwear dreck.

Hey, haven't I seen you on footballshirtnews before? I almost always agree with your comments on there.

Same for these kits, actually. My guess it that the Puma Template-Team chose red, seeing as it's in Reading's crest as well.

This is what happens when Genesis Sports gets to get something off the Puma catalogue to butcher up because they got the teamwear contracts, like "here you go cheapen the look of these templates we did" and flog them off to the UK teams.

Needs more blue around the shoulder. The red bit is odd. Away is ok but its a template which is a shame for a newly promoted club.

Well, can't say this was unexpected; Puma haven't put in any effort at all this season. The home kit is a new template, based on the awul "King"-template of last year. They managed to make it even worse.

The away kit doesn't seem based on anything, but is even worse than the one used for the home strip. I mean, those stripes (now in deep blue) seem to have been thrown on at random.

Can't say much about the Goalie's shirt, first time I've seen it, but I'm willing to bet my spleen that it'll be used by the other Puma teams as well.

The hoops on the home kit are far too broad, I don't much like the red bit by the shoulder or having the Puma logo up there, it looks odd that high, it's not a good shirt at all. The away's a bit dull but it looks nice enough in these colours.

Very nice match of a sponsor and club shirt - a rare thing these days, good job PUMA. The yellow away is also nice - good luck from a Watford fan who has no issues with anyone or anything at Reading - and I like your manager. Good luck

one day Reading FC will actually have a no gimmicky crappy patterns classic plain white and blue HOOPED home shirt with HOOPS on ALL of the shirt and ALL of the sleeves they haven't had since 1978. Only umbro seem like they'd make that, but judging on Southampton's new kit & fact umbro have been sold by nike, maybe not.

this is ok reminds me of 99/01 kit

agreed Because of the PUMA template the away kit has a teamwear feel to it. I'd like a HOOPED yellow and blue or black and blue away kit

Looks sooooooo much worse than last seasons......

The hoops width makes the badge looks isolated would have been better minus the random red and with the kit maker badge and team crest in their usual positions

Don't understand why they had a home shirt based on an African Cup of nations teams' template last year and then this nonsense?

Would look more appropriate as a QPR shirt due to the width of the hoops......

Feel sorry for Royals fans
