The Seattle Sounders FC revealed the new third kit for the 2012 season featuring a color spectrum in the blue/green family named “super cyan” and trimmed in electricity. The signature rave green jersey will continue to serve as the Sounders FC primary kit.
“Super cyan is an evolution of the Sounders FC distinct color palette,” said Sounders FC owner Joe Roth. “The super cyan kit with the electricity trim definitely sets the Sounders apart. As always, we’re proud to feature Xbox on this and all of our Sounders FC kits.”
Super cyan will be worn for Champions League, U.S. Open Cup and friendly matches in order to differentiate between these competitions and MLS league matches. The shale kit will continue as the secondary kit and will be worn when the rave green is in color conflict or is similar to a home team’s primary kit.
The Xbox logo is featured prominently on the jersey front with a two-tone Sounders FC logo over the heart. The traditional adidas 3-stripes and trim are electricity. The jersey, shorts and socks will all feature the same color palette.
The third kit features the adidas TECHFIT™ Powerweb technology designed to improve core strength by applying optimal pressure to areas of the athlete’s body to increase blood flow. The Powerweb bands allows for maximum range of motion, breathability and comfort. TECHFIT™ focuses the athlete’s muscles' energy to generate maximum explosive power, acceleration and long-term endurance.
The color scheme of the third kit will continue to cycle following the tradition of many European clubs.

N64 FTW!
No, Vectrex FTW! XD
But what Champions League they're talking about?
CRAP kit for a CRAP team!
Attendance means nothing. censored Shittle.
He unfortunately broke his leg this season with a horrible challenge, you could hear the break on TV.
His brother plays for Peterborough.
Why must Seattle kits always be so damned loud?!?!
he's complete class.
Who the censored in Europe is playing in sky blue wih lime green trim?
Lime green just doesn't go! If it was black or dark blue as a base colour (Seattle Seahawks) it wouldn't be so bad.
Only trouble is the Sounders have only been around 5 minutes, so there's not a lot to choose from retro-wise. The colours just don't work.
i can agree with Germany but with Spain no. it looks like a trainer. IMO the 3 line design is a double edge sword, it can give nice retro kits at times but IMO most of the time its the same old thing and when adidas tries something like Sounders kits then its just pure ugly (the kit makes Mauro rosales look fat) and i do agree Sounders being here just 5 minutes they cant do much but still. MLS is soo mickey mouse that little tick mark on the crest for the "TM" logo says it all.
They've been around since 74, and yes, these are colors that are similar to ones they've used in the past.
Expert are we?
'Rave Green'
'Electricity'
Pah....To me, it's just blue and green.
Load of toss.
Maybe it sounds like "Super Size" as in - can I get a massive cup of coffee please?
