For the first time in 38 years, Team GB are flying the flag for British football at the Olympic Games. Designed by Stella McCartney, Creative Director for the project, the kit combines the best in performance technologies and British style, and will be available here.
adidas UK Marketing Director Nick Craggs said: 'All eyes will be on the British athletes when they take the stage at the Games, so we wanted to ensure that they would be the best equipped team through a combination of leading technologies including PowerWEB and Climacool and a unified and striking team identity.'

There was a tonne of news about what the point in it was
It was even covered on this very website http://www.footballshirtculture.com/11/12-kits/team-gb-adidas-london-2012-commemorative-shirt.html
You can only blame yourself for the confusion
Who's the daft prick now eh?
(if we can be away at the London Olympics)
will be a red (and pink) version.
Same amount of red
Why should the Scots censored??? Look at the pics again,,the cross of St. Andrew is the only one that is represented correctley...
if i recall correctly a football shirt came out months ago yet in this picture, the bloke is wearing football gear and kicking a football
maybe darren fletcher would have had a chance of playin if he was recovered - a nice mixture of players and we potentially cud do well.
only chance scottish football is gonna have any remote chance of celebration. ever
UK - IMF 1970's
And has anyone decided yet if any non English players will be in the squad yet.
i hope to god u tw@ts become your own independant nation and lets ee if u can stand on ur own two feet. nob
as for the shirt - i like it!! even with the lack of red.
Aaaaaand that's why a large proportion of Scots hate the English.
Thanks Craig. No need to discuss anything sensibly with the likes of you around, you're winning the argument for Scotland there pal.
So giving shite to Scotland with a scottish name reeks of hypocrisy.
Understand now you stupid muppet???
Quoting craig:
Well done. You can neither read nor process information that is right in front of you.
Mind the step.
Blood vessel throbbing in the forehead
Without Scots oil and Welsh coal your third word English dump would already be at sub Albanian living standards. Now we are sharpening up we'll leave you behind, big beer belly and fat red face, watching Wayne et al crash out again in the second round. Hard lines, your time is over, maybe you can come up to Scotland and we'll give you a job, professional scarecrow or something
As for independance, you think that is going to make your national team better?
From a true Canadian. English Football is definatly better.
The guy also said "the good bits" of Canada, somewhere you have obviously never been.
Says it all, really.
A bad design, created by someone who knows bugger all about football, and has only really ever gotten anywhere in life because Daddy could play guitar a bit.

I mean, there is tech fit and there is f-ing cycling tops!! lol
FAIL
British argument - being part English and part Scots im proud of both - but as we all stood shoulder to shoulder in the two biggest wars this island has ever faced, it saddens me that all the bickering about 'conquering Scotland' or the 'Union being outdated' comes up - separate proud nations existing together. Did us alright in the darkest of days - maybe folk should not blank this out when harping on about history - whichever way you see it.
WRONG.

We have a pretty unique group of nations that who make up Britain. But no wonder Scotland want out....with the English comments...and no wonder English people think Scotland are petty and bitter...reading the Scottish posts. We're quite lucky here on this island, and not many people realise it...
It's a fvcking embarrasment.
The Olympics are a joke.
We are the laughing stock of Europe.
Terrible, that's what happened when a woman gave birth to you.
Love You really
Take it you've seen trainspotting then, if you think all Scots are smack heads. If we are going to be racist then you mush be a fat lager drinking hooligan who can only see your censored in pictures your mum took of you as a baby
As you are a fan you'll understand when I say that I wish for you what he wished for Richard "The Hamster" Hammond
Also The Fall are shit
"The Fall are shit" - wrong on every level - back to the Coldplay album son
Sheesh
Fair play, you win this one, I shouldn't be posting half asleep
cyber applause
Bailed out by us idiots (England & Scotland)
Another plastic paddy no doubt, f uck up
This kit is hideous. The light blue stripe should be red. Again, it doesn't make sense.

Erm, because Adidas are the equipment sponsors for the whole of Team GB?
kinda glad, the other FA's did not want any part in this. especially northern Ireland i mean , more northern athletes would probably be lining out for the Irish Olympic team then the British one, and yea while in football we may have two FA's but at least if we ever wanted to have a united team again it would make some sense.
A British team just seems kinda pointless to me.
(Speaking as a Northern Irish person who thinks the same...)
why is it pointless since it works in many other sports ?.
plus lets be honest the north is losing players
cause alot of players up there dont feel any real attactment
to the north team and feel closer to the republic,
a united team would change that
not taking anything away from them. Why would they not consider a united team their own?. And yes i do to a point consider the Republic of Ireland almost a united team, considering how mixed the squad is.
But would also like to see a proper one that could represent the hole island. It would be best for the players and the fans
My Friend once saw a united Ireland team play against world champions Brazil in the 70s, this shows that player who play for the north would still line out for a united team (sure Niall McGinn a north player even said he was a fan of the south, and yet some NI fans gave him horrible stick for it)
simple fact is many northern Irish athletes will be line out for the Irish Olympic team, as well as the united Rugby team, Gaelic football team, Cricket team, Curling, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, Golf, Handball etc, and fans will support those teams. Football can be the same
they did make it clear when the fans kit came out that the tam wouldn;t be using it. I think the clue is in the name - "Fan's Kit"?
With Money, comes arrogance, scotland knows its limitations, England are too self indulgent to even consider it.
Im from neither england or scotland, but you fools who argue oover silly little things like the colour of a football shirt seriously have no concept towards football as a whole.
This reminds me of the question time audience. Face-palms all the time. Life Lesson --> Research and learn before making and asserting your opinion!!!
