Turkey 12/13 Nike Away Football Shirt

turkey 12-13 nike away football shirt

Nike unveiled the new Turkey 12/13 away football shirt, which will be available here.

Turkey’s new away kit represents the countrys' football heritage and national symbols in a contemporary and stylish new design.

The away shirt is an updated version of the design Turkey wore in their first-ever game and for the next 40 years. It is white with a red crew neck collar and a red chest stripe, with the crest in the center.

In line with Nike’s commitment to superior athletic performance and lower environmental impact, the fabric of the new kit’s shorts is made with 100 percent recycled polyester, while the fabric of the shirts is made with at least 96 percent recycled polyester.  Each kit is made using an average of 13 recycled plastic bottles.

The fabric is also up to 23 percent lighter than the version four years ago. Embedded with Nike Dri-FIT technology, the kits help to regulate players temperatures on the pitch by removing sweat from the body to keep them dry and cool faster than ever before.

Laser-cut ventilation on the shirt promotes localised cooling where athletes need it most to remain focused on the game.

A new double knit structure and yarns also makes this kit 20 percent stronger, with no compromise to fit and feel with natural cotton added for comfort.

Inside the back of the neck is a graphic of the All Seeing Eye, also known as the Evil Eye or Nazar Boncugu. It's a charm in Turkish culture that promises to bring bearers luck and keep a watchful eye over them, warding off evil and keeping them safe.

The away shorts are white. The home socks, now with improved cushioning for greater comfort, movement and protection, are also white with a red stripe at the top.

the red bar went a bit higher, the number will be ironed underneath the bar, instead of above (like last years) that's all.

I miss the turquoise. It was unique. Seriously, a turquoise tile design as trim would look absolutely gorgeous.

Brian Clough Quotes:

- I wouldn’t say I’m the best manager but I’m in the top one.

- They say Rome wasn’t built in a day, but I wasn’t on that particular job.

- If I had an argument with a player we would sit down for twenty minutes, talk about it and then decide I was right!

- The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

- Walk on water? I know most people out there will be saying that instead of walking on it, I should have taken more of it with my drinks. They are absolutely right.

very nice! another great kit from Nike! Even though they may not want to change history and tradition very much, I would like to see something rather different from Turkey... It seems like they've had the same kits since forever! Still nice though!
