Brazil 2013 Nike Away Football Shirt

Brazil 2013 Nike Away Football Shirt

This is the new Brazil 2013 Away football shirt which is available here.

Brazil’s new away kit is a stylish, authentic representation of the country’s ability to not only dazzle the football world but also compete within it. While the traditional yellow home jersey reflects the beauty of Brazilian football, the new away kit reminds us the team is always ready to battle for victory.

The jersey offers a modern, refined look while losing none of the authentic tradition demanded of it by a passionate fan base. Brazilians are proud of their standing at the peak of world football, and the new kit reflects that pride, passion and desire to win.

The shirt is an iconic blue, a color that has long been synonymous with Brazil’s second kit. A lightweight crew neck with V-inset, a white trimmed, bonded shoulder panel, crafted ribbed cuffs, laser venting, welded seams, and hemline vents are all innovations to benefit players' performance on pitch.

The white shorts have blue bonded side tape with venting at the sides to aid movement and an inner gusset to aid comfort. The socks are blue with a white Swoosh and “Brasil” detail.

In line with Nike’s commitment to combining performance with lower environmental impact, fabric for the new kit’s shorts is made with 100 percent recycled polyester, while the shirt fabric is made with a minimum 96 percent recycled polyester. Each kit is made using an average 13 recycled plastic bottles.

The kits are constructed using Nike Dri-FIT technology to wick moisture and are made out of 23 percent lighter fabric with 20 percent stronger knit structure than Nike's previous kits. The shirts also feature laser-cut ventilation holes to promote localized cooling and help regulate player temperatures during a match.

The shirt was first revealed during the Batalha Das Quadras event in Rio de Janeiro on Feb. 1, where legendary footballer Ronaldo joined other iconic Brazilian athletes to unveil the jersey on stage. Participating athletes included UFC fighter Junior Cigano, long jumper Maurren Maggi and basketball player Marcelo Machado.

I think Nike completely forgot they needed to design kits this year, and they were reminded the night before submission. Don't get me wrong, some of them look ok, but such little thought has gone into them. Quite lazy.

Do they really need to change it every year and a bit just to slightly change the design? I don't buy international kits because they'll be outdated after 8 matches of use.

Me too, in fact I'm getting it JUST for the little star detail.

Tiny star-shaped holes in the side! *Squeals with excitement*

Whenever they are the "away" team against a team that wears yellow and possibly even white.

Would you rather they had no away kit at all?

I find it funny that everyone applauds Umbro's "boring" kits and then complains that Nike's are boring. Sort of biased and stupid if you ask me. This is very typical of Brazil away kits over the years and looks just fine.

Of course we are, and with good reason.

I am certainly not "complaining" about this kit being boring (couldn' t care less about Nike), just saying that in the best case it' s a sad rip-off of the Umbro Tailored by style, with nothing of its class or appeal. In the worst, it' s just Nike rubbish.
And so will the England kit be a tailored by imitation, just wait and see.
There go the stitches... There goes the "subtle" tailored triangle on the side of the hem... There they are getting rid of the silly scotch tape on the shoulders...
But to no avail. It takes more than an imitation to have real style.
Boycot Nike, that' s the way. We are sick of seeing them pop up everywhere under our arses.

The Umbro dicklickers I call them. Thank God Umbro barely have any contracts left, now we won't have to listen to these dweebs creaming themselves over Umbro kits quite so much.

And sticking to comments on kit details without (Little China) troubling Messrs Carpenter and Russell, I forgot to add: there goes the "crew neck with V-inset" as in current ManCity 3rd kit...

I think Nike, like Apple, past their peak level. Or they safe everything for the World Cup 2014. Nike, not Apple.

Nike must think people are made of money in these hard times. Yet another yearly kit change for an international kit; I can remember 15 years ago when people were upset the FA were changing the home shirt every two years.
Lazy designs, ripping off fans typical Nike.

You don't have to buy he new kits every year. Just stick with one one you like for 2 or 3 or cut your costs in other areas so you can afford the new ones. OR find sales. I got my Player issue USA Away 12/13 for 80$ (50£) on Black Friday.

2011 (the loading bar kit) "my gosh! its horrible! go back to simple designs!"

2013 (this kit) "wow thats soooooo borring and simple! design something better!"

moral of the story: pick a lane.

Simple designs can be classy when combined with craftsmanship, originality and innovation - but without these extras the simple design approach is lazy, monotonous and underwelming. Nike, what are you doing? You either try too hard or don't seem try at all. The Brazil shirts are the latter I'm afraid - your slick marketing might still impress some, but more and more of us are now becoming bored with you...

This is very similar to Brazil's 98 shirts minus the two thin stripes down the arm outside of the thick stripe. http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/img/shirts/341/brazil-away-football-shirt-1998-2000-s_7296_1.jpg
And I remember many people loving the 98 shirts back then including myself...I think this looks great and will look better on the players and fans wearing them as sometimes these pictures don't do full justice for the shirt.

Nike should use the classic design for Brazilian team because of their soccer history...they do not use some kind of scientific technical outfit for the players..that makes fans so boooring..
