Chelsea 13/14 Adidas Home Football Shirt

Chelsea 13/14 Adidas Home Football Shirt

Chelsea Football Club and adidas have today revealed the new kit for the forthcoming 2013/14 season, which is available for pre-order here.

Following on from the groundbreaking tease campaign, entitled, 'it's blue. What else matters?' the new kit takes inspiration from legendary past kits worn by Chelsea greats, and will be on sale from May 15.

The launch earlier this month took the sporting world by storm, with over 1.5 million fans worldwide tuning in to see John Terry, Juan Mata, David Luiz and Gary Cahill show what it means to be a committed Blue. The wider campaign also included Fernando Torres, Demba Ba, Eden Hazard, Oscar and Petr Cech.

The launch was a break from the norm and posed the question: it's blue. What else matters? - a call to action for Chelsea fans to order the shirt without seeing it.

Creative Football t-shirts at footytees.com - Featuring prints by a range of talented artists

The reaction has been phenomenal in terms of interactions with both the adidas and Chelsea brands. It even reached those fans of other clubs, who commented on YouTube and social media sites that despite their loyalties, the essence of the campaign had grabbed their attention due to its compelling nature.

Technology

The traditionally styled blue kit features the latest adidas technologies to ensure that it not only evokes the meaning of being a true blue but gives Chelsea an edge on the pitch:

TechFit™ - Designed to help improve speed, endurance and awareness, TechFit stabilizes muscles and focuses energy. This helps players to generate explosive acceleration and deliver maximum power output.

Climacool - adidas ClimaCool™ technology provides a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics to improve air flow to the skin in key heat zones.

The new kit is available for pre-order here and will go on sale on May 15.

Led light uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs ) as the light source, have longevity and low energy saving ,also without harmful substances to humen.Though the led lightings'initial purchase costs are more expensive than traditional lamps , in the long time, it is still worthy to buy them.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe that this kit really follows the 'template' of Real Madrid's current home kit.

I personally don't have anything against 'templates', especially if they pull it off nicely, as in this case.

So my opinion is: Chelsea's a somewhat 'template' kit, but still very very nice. Really liked the marketing campaign for it.

I hated the advertising campaign (It's blue what else matters?) because it does matter that it looks nice as people will have to stare at it all season long.

It's a nice kit but because it's adidas and Chelsea the experimentation will come with the away and third kits.

Clearly didn't understand the marketing campaign of the fact it is more about the pride of wearing blue rather than the look of the shirt itself, are you a true blue? Ordering a shirt before you see it, its quite clever campaign really.... Really questions your support for the club, well there shouldn't be any questioning lol its blue and that is all that matters lol

Since when did you have to Buy a £40-£50 shirt to prove your loyalty to a club? Clever campaign, but its primarily for the money.

That aside the shirt is absolutely beautiful.

You don't have to buy a football kit to prove your loyalty. It's a clever campaign for adidas because they can get the money in before people (potentially, but this kit is very nice, as are most of Chelsea's recent kits) have a chance to see it.

Totally Agree, but Adidas and msot other sports manufacturers plant this theory in to peoples heads to make them think they need to buy the shirt to show support. But yes, I have been really pleased with Chelsea kits, since 2009-10 they have kept the traditional look but making it look a bit more exciting. The "body panel" effect in 09-10, the red in 10-11, the white shoulder panels in 11-12 and the gold in 12-13 :)

And again, this is beautiful!

I think it was a clever campaign, but i agree with hat u say about the away kits, the deal adidas seem to have struck is that theyll usually make chelsea a smashing looking home kkit, but theyll do something pretty far out with the away :/ who knows it might work out this year

I disagree, I think they're barely visible but add a nice little touch, and will help to elongate the fatties wearing the shirt :P

Its about as good as a new shirt can get, basic, elegant, sharp & clean-lined design.

you have to leave a gap for the league logo on the sleeves. That's why the stripes don't go all the way down

forgive me if im wrong, but logo patches on the sleeves has only been introduced the past 10-15 years, and when adidas used to bring the stripes down it used to disrupt the sleeve patch, made it look rubbish.
