Derby County 13/14 Kappa Home Football Shirt

Derby County have today revealed their new home and Goalkeeper kits for the 2013-14 season.

Produced by Derby’s kit manufacturers Kappa in what will be the second year of a partnership agreement that was announced last summer, the classic Kappa kombat fit strip is 100% polyester interlock with moisture wicking.

The biggest change to the home strip for next season is the introduction of a collar, compared to the 2012-13 season design.

Another new feature on the kit is a black panel across both sleeves, while the Rams will continue to wear black shorts and white socks to complement the home shirt.

The home kit will be accompanied by new-look away and third kits which will be revealed later this summer.

All three kits will display the BuyMobiles logo for the fourth season in a row, after they extended their principal shirt sponsorship agreement with the Rams back in January.

Commenting on the new home kit, Derby County Chief Executive Sam Rush said: “We have worked hard alongside Kappa and we're happy with the end result.

“The collar has been re-introduced for the first time in quite a while, as we have regularly received feedback from supporters stating that they’d like to see that particular feature back on the shirt.”

Thanks to Adam

Quoting ttt:
The black armbands are presumably in mourning for the death of aesthetic quality. Just terrible looking.

Black strips on the arms need to be thinner and on the sleeve bottom and whats with the s**t stripe on the back? "we are Derby" should be "we are Dierby"

Niceeeeee, the badge and kappa logo could of done with being an ince lower imo

Be interesting to see what they do with the players numbers on back of shirts due to the black line going through the shirt

Loved last seasons shirt and this is even better!! Very Unique to the league, love Kappa, thank god we got rid of Adidas. Last time we have 'hoops' on the arms we won the playoff, hope they're lucky!

Begrudgingly (being a Forest Fan), I think this would be an excellent kit if:

a) They moved the sponsor, badge and logo down the shirt.
b) They removed the black bands.
c) Connor Sammon was never photographed again.

The collar reminds me of the Le Coq kit Derby had in 79/80 (?).
The bands round the sleeves and the back don't really work nut I suppose Kappa have tried something different.
It will be interesting to see how it works with a gold coloured FL number.

Take the bands off the sleeves, extend the black band all the way around the shirt like a black and white Boca style and you'd have a decent kit for sure. If the logos were all moved a few inches lower, of course.

theres a really good shirt in among all that trying to get out...i like it but could have been much better...the flaws have been mentioned already - just could have kept it simpler again - sponsor is a killer and badge gets lost but its a cool kit somehow...i know i shouldnt like it but i kinda really do, a guilty pleasure and it even feels wrong typing that but there ye go

As a Derby fan, when I first saw this I was like WTF!?! But seeing it more and more it has grown on me a lot! I really like this! It stands out so much as OUR shirt. Not just a cheapo template (Even thought it is a kappa templete) It isnt worn by ANY other team in the UK. I love this!

I actually think this is good, unlike most other people here. I find this much better than adidas's bat wings, or Nike's PLAIN templates. Although I think that the band in the back shouldn't be there.

Another club shirt absolutely ruined by the sponsor, the players should be the only ones with the logo, let the fans buy it without. Would the companies go for this, not on your fcuking nelly, they view supporters as the biggest source of free advertising around. Buying sponsored shirts should be optional, eg, players name & number. All you notice with the derby shirt is the logo, the club crest is hanging on for dear life, should make the cnuts who design abominations like this wear it themselves, with the logo "i designed this shite" at the back. Derby fans, don't buy it, do an everton!

The whole idea of a shirt sponsor is to get money for the club. It us not free advertising. The company pays to have their logo on our shirt. As long as they bring my club money I dont mind! They are a decent company too with very good offers if you actually visit the website. The identity of our club is still there, our ram and a snippet of one of the Derby chants. Im sure if this was Mercedes or BMW Gerd Muller would be happy, maybe Muller yoghurt? Its nothing like the Everton situation. Fans dint have to buy the shirt, we can buy polo shirts, tshirts, scarfs, hats, all with the ram on, no sponsors. Now get off your high horse and rest that foot.

Good effort by Kappa. Rather than those shitty design by adidas.
But had they moved the sponsor logo a wee bit lower and do away with the band on the sleeves and made them totaly black. It would be even better.

Re rammie, you are missing the whole point of my argument concerning the logo's on shirts. Are supporters of any club consulted, (never) if they wish to purchase shirts incorporating sponsorship? All that would happen is the companies would kick up a fuss and the clubs would bend over backwards to rectify the matter, i.e, the fans NOT having a choice. You also retard your argument somewhat by mentioning bmw & mercedes, it must be hell being that jealous of Germany to use it in this debate. You are either extremely backward or, the worst in my view a post 93 follower of prem. At least Everton fan power had the desired effect, something which seems entirely lost on you. Now get back to your sheep molesting. btw are they sponsored? Bellend.

Quoting Ron Swanson:
It seems Kappa's response to the financial crisis was to stop employing designers. A classless, atrocious mess that ironically will suit Derby County and their supporters down to the ground.

Well said Ron.

The only one being an idiot is you above, how sad do you have to be to use my username? Is that the best you can really muster, or are you & rammie the self same (conjoinef twins?) dumb idiots. Last ones picked for football were you? It seems that intelligent debate is no longer required on this forum, it proves only one thing though Uglyland & it's fans know absolutely fcuk all on football. I as the REAL gerdmullersfoot apologise for nothing except to say the truth must really hurt for you to use my name. By the way, I see your U21 chavs did great against the might of Israel the other night, that result will mean winning the world cup is a certainty, just ask sheepshanks! Give pearce the full time chavland job now! Auf wiedersehen from the real gerdmullersfoot.
