Fiorentina and Joma have unveiled new versions of their 2013-14 Home and Away shirts for the Florence-based club's Uefa Europa League campaign.

On these modified shirts, the domestic versions' club emblems on the shoulders are removed - owing to Uefa restrictions on club insignia - and replaced with extra golden trim and features and an Italian flag just below the collar on the back.

The domestic sponsor, Mazda, does not appear, though Save The Children - the charitable partner - is placed below the number on the back on the players' shirts.

There is no Third shirt equivalent - the domestic/Serie A version has greater gold trim than the Home and Away counterparts and was produced in line with rules on European competition.

Seems rather pathetic that UEFA has so many rules concerning the way in which a club celebrates its' footballing history/legacy.

You would have thought that Joma would have saved time, effort and money by making a kit that falls in line with the rules from the very beginning.

Either way all seems rather silly to me.

When it comes to sponsorship rulings on kits, UEFA take it to the extreme, all in the name of "protecting the interests of their own sponsors", allegedly.

'Save the Children' under the number on the back?! Why didn't they just take the mazda logo off the Serie A kits and 'Save The Children' some money.

Of course the Joma logo is terrible, but the shirt is actually not bad. Clean and classic.

why there is a stupid national flag on the back? using firenze coat of arms will be more suitable better. Italian seldom call themselves Italian, they will call the city/town that they come from instead. manufacturer doesn't understand such a culture.

Why is the sponsor (mazda) missing?

that's maybe because mazda only sponsors them in domestic campaign.

same case with tottenham.
