So sad, this would be fantastic if Ireland weren't the only national team to shove a corporate sponsor on the shirt. It's depressing.

If it was a case where they offered the sponsor-less version of the shirt for an extra fee I think you'd see that being quite popular. (It's also a gross looking logo as logos go)

Oh, and I only just noticed all the glowing green veins they put on the players' arms. Uhhhh.... That's odd.

Also, I'm not sure RoI is getting a new dawn yet, not until we move on from Trap managing... So I'm not sure why the slogan is put this way

I'm sure its trying to convey the idea that green flows through their veins, such is the passion and pride associated with playing for Ireland

Agreed... but at the very least it is the same colour as the badge and logo. Looks even worse when the sponsor is acontrasting block of iron-on plastic!
Much prefer football shirts without sponsors, I wouldn't buy an England shirt with a sponsor on, but a few club shirts look acceptable like Ajax's away kit, and Marseille's black & orange 3rd shirt.

I agree that a sponsor logo can be a necessary evil for a club's finances (though I was saddened when Bar?

Wish I could thumbs up more than once. I'm sick of this shit. There have been 3 or 4 jerseys over the last few years that I would have bought because I liked the look of them if they would sell them without the logo.

The knock off jersey site soccertriads were offering convincing fakes without the logo before Euro 2012 and as far as I know loads of people ordered. Sort it out FAI.

Yeah, it's really sad when a counterfeit shirt of the national team has a unique selling point besides its knock-off price. The FAI invite that kind of nonsense with the ridiculous sponsor policy.

Shove the sponsor on all the anthem jackets and training gear and merch and such, anyone following the team will be exposed to the logo a hell of a lot, but a national replica shirt should be kept somewhat pure. It should be able to be a REPLICA of what the players wear!

It breaks my heart because besides that ONE thing, this is a fun and fantastic Ireland shirt.

If you' re serious, you' re right.
If you' re being ironic, I think we can say the bastards snatched almost everything from them apart from this team.

Shirt is wonderful, yet another brilliant invention collar-wise.
Let' s hope Iconix give them the necessary support to find new teams and offer more beautiful kits.

The Umbro contract in Ireland is different as an Irish company, Toplion Sportswear own the license to produce Umbro so we will see Ireland wear Umbro until at least 2020 unless a deal can be negotiated to buy out the contract. I don't think Ireland is a global brand so there will hardly be interest to do that. I read somewhere that the Ireland kits have to be produced in Ireland. When we had Adidas it was similar as there was an 'Adidas' factory in Dublin until the mid to late 90's.

Why are the Ireland kits always produced with a sponsor? I can't think of any other country that does this.

I cannot stand this obsession with black away kits - and all one colour kits, something Sepp Blatter has wanted for years. I don't like the 3 on the front and don't think that any national team should have any advertsing, keep it on the tracksuits etc. It's also a very green black, away kits should be completely different.

Would be so much better and easier to sell if the sponsor wasn't there, or at least put on one of the arms

Does anyone find it strange that the "symbol of a New Dawn" is black and a really dark green? Dawn on the surface of Pluto?

Yeah who knows how long we'll see the brand? I'm concerned. To me, Umbro has always been in a league of its own. And this kit is as great as any other.
