This is the new 2014 Mexico Home kit by adidas which will be available here.

Worn during the crucial Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifying victory over Panama, the new kit features the traditional green shirt, white shorts and red socks in a "tricolour" style, this time with lightening bolt imagery flashes and pinstripes and the green in a "bi-tonal" approach on the shirt.

The Mexican Football Federation's launch at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City before the match also revealed the lightest kit the national team has ever worn, including adidas adizero engineering.

Should Mexico reach the finals then this kit will be the first choice in the tournament.

Really people actually like this. 1991 called and it wants it's kit back. The two tone green looks awful on the back of the shirt and those socks are absolutely hideous. I expect this kind of lunacy out of a fourth rate kit manufacturer like Legea or Burrda but Adidas what were you thinking?!

Before I even read your comment I was thinking this was out of the 90's. It may be ok for a club team but surely it should be more conservative for national teams. There are too many things going on in the shirt for a national team shirt -the lightning, the stripes in the front, the white stripes, etc. I liked the prior Adidas Mexican kits much better.

I concur. It looks over-designed on the pictures, and slightly bizarre on the playing field. I liked Mexico's previous kit a lot: cleanly designed, with an eye-catching bright green color. This is just too much, and the contrast between the two green hues seems wrong. Thoroughly poor from adidas.

No, this is the kit they will wear through 2014, including the World Cup should they make it. The only reason they're releasing it so early is due to the small possibility that Mexico doesnt make it to Brazil.

Why the hate towards mecccico? The shirt is good, at least it differentiates from other shirts, yep looking at it you realise it is a mexico shirt. The green is a lovely shade, this is the green Germany should have had.

As for being "a terrible team", I suppose you haven't seen englscum play recently then, particularly against Italy playing for penalties & losing. As for not qualifying for tournaments, the home of football make it an art form. Long may it continue!

Would still be smarter than what the chavs of scumland wear. Btw see shiteland are chomping at the bit to "avenge" that 4-1, with the friendly.

That said, in light of the racist allegations against Hodgson, seems I was wrong about him all along. Decent fella along with my man of the year, George Zimmerman!

We are not loving it here in Mexico, it is too much for a national jersey; it looks fine for a club, but i believe it has too many details, it is over-designed for being a National Team jersey. Also there is a lot to put on a shirt refering to Mexican Culture, why the lightning bolds in the shape of an M, that's hideous!

The "lighting bolts" were purposely made in the shape of an "M", I am not to crazy about it either and think it's also a lil much. I think that if the jersey did not have the white panels on the shoulders it would look a bit better but that's just my personal taste.

I don't like this kit at all.

The pinstripe type design isn't exactly wonderful looking but the lightning bolts?

If Adidas did a pink version, Stade Francais would grab it in a second to play rugby in.

Finally adidas have produced a unique kit. I like it, the fact that it's not a template (not yet at least) almost gives the Mexico team a sense of identity. However I can't help but think adidas will give Spain a similar style shirt, obviously in red, yellow/gold and blue.
