Rangers 13/14 Puma Football Kits

Rangers 13/14 Puma Football Kits

Rangers today officially unveiled the new PUMA home, away and third kits – sponsored by Blackthorn Cider - for Season 2013/14 at Murray Park.

In February, Rangers announced a five-year kit deal with the leading SportsLifestyle brand to become the official supplier and licensee of replica merchandise for the club and supporters were able to see the players in the kit for the first time today.

The new home kit – blue top featuring a red and white Puma King stripe graphic on the neck and two red contrast stripes on the body, white shorts with blue detail and a return to the traditional black and red socks - will be available to buy ahead of the Club’s opening Division 2 game of the season on Thursday 8 August.

The away kit –white with navy marl top with gold embroidery, navy shorts with gold crests and white socks with navy detail – will be available to buy on Thursday 5 September.

The third kit – black top with red flashes, black shorts with red piping and socks with red flashes - will be available to buy from Thursday 25 July.

Creative Football T-Shirts at Footytees.com - Featuring prints by a range of talented artists

The goalkeeper’s kit and change kits – which are yellow and red with marl details – will also be available to buy at a later date.

Rangers Chief Executive Craig Mather said: "PUMA are one of the world’s iconic lifestyle brands and we are delighted to unveil the new home, away and third kits with our summer signings at the training ground today.

"I have no doubt our supporters will be impressed with the design and quality of the new kits and this is just the start of our exciting five-year partnership with PUMA.

"Everyone associated with Rangers - players, sponsors, staff and fans - are relishing the season ahead and I am sure the new PUMA merchandise will be hugely successful.

"Today's kit reveal also marks the official launch of our partnership with Blackthorn Cider and we look forward to a positive and mutually beneficial campaign with Blackthorn and PUMA. This is just the beginning of our relationship with both commercial partners and we will work closely together throughout 2013/14."

Ruth How, Head of Sports Marketing for PUMA, added: "It is a privilege to be supplying kits to a club with the history of Rangers Football Club. We have put all of our experience and expertise into developing these kits and are delighted with the results. Rangers’ players and fans justifiably take a lot of pride in wearing the shirt and that was front of mind for us."

Paolo Mortarotti, Managing Director of The Shepton Mallet Cider Company, owners of Blackthorn Cider, said: "Blackthorn is immensely proud to partner with a club of the stature of Rangers. We believe our partnership will help deliver our ambitious growth plans for the brand and we look forward to working closely with the club and the supporters in what we believe will be a very successful season."

Rangers Supporters Liaison Manager Jim Hannah added: "The Rangers fans are eager to see the new PUMA kit and as ever their feedback is always welcome.

"Fans were instrumental in the design process for the 2013/14 kit, as they have been in previous seasons, and this will continue. We are all looking forward to the start of the new campaign and I am certain the new PUMA kit will prove popular with the fanbase."

they are scotland;s most famous and succesful club their colors are red white and blue and they dont have the stigma and baggage that a small little irish team who claim to be from glasgow have attached to their club .

If the guy hired to polish all the silverware in the trophy case, left behind a bottle of Lukozade, These guys would claim it as a trophy. Scotland's most "famous" team wears green and white (it ain't Hibs) Nike kits. They are also the most "successful club" as the one you are talking about have shuffled of it's mortal coil and joined the choir invisible.

The home kit just reminds me of the terrible Diadora kits we had in the mid-00s, but the away and third kits aren't bad.

While I don't like the idea of having Blackthorn as the sponsor, the logo itself doesn't look as awful as I first thought it would, and at least it's not a ridiculous colour that looks completely out of place

Uruguay have Puma kits and Martin Cacares always has fucking massive shorts on.

I'll probably just buy kids' shorts so they fit normally. That'll be a first for a Gers fan, whereas Celtic supporters are probably used to squuezing into kids bottoms ;-)

The home shirt isn't bad apart from the collar. Both away kits are awful. We should have a red away kit and a white third kit - both with red, white & blue trim. Black football strips are rubbish and the white shirt here could be for any team. A wee bit more imagination and sticking to traditional club colours would be preferable.

It was proved and certified by UEFA and Fifa that Rangers are the same team as they were before the COMPANY got liquidated. If that wasn't the case Rangers wouldn't be able to use the badge at all because the 5 stars would be false advertisement which is illegal. Another thing if this is a "new" Rangers kit launch why is all the obsessed tims and even clueless English people bothering with us if we are brand new and have no history...I don't go and bother Shitey english teams like Acrinton Stanely and slag them for being "small yet yous have the nerve to come on here and slag a "new team" for being "small" When you re completely clueless. Take a look at yourselves first before you come on here and try and put your point across. Oh and btw Glasgow rangers 141 years old this year! WATP! 8)

Both kits look good the home kit gets 7/10 from me and the away slightly higher as I really like the navy marl colour, the badge and general design I give it 8/10 8) trust me I'm no Rangers 'fan' but that's not what this forum is about.

Old Firm fans are just fucking awful human beings (if they can even be described as that)

The total and utter shitefest on this page (of an otherwise excellent website) is typical of what the knuckledraggers do to Scotland and particularly Glasgow. The Old Firm exist to give the uneducated, jobless and general underclasses of this country a focal point to spout their bigoted pish and collectively ruin the place for decent people.

Truly you are the dregs of Scottish society and if you support either of these two you have serious character flaws.

You log into a thread about a team you clearly hate then moralise about character flaws :o You clearly don't do irony do you? Nor are you given to sweeping generalisations either eh? Here's one for you, see if it sounds familiar.

Scottish non-Rangers fans are, petty, jealous and quick to take the moral high ground even though their own fans songbook dosen't bear close scrutiny, hate Rangers more than the love their own club, while in total denial that their own wee diddy club is almost totally reliant on the Blue Pound.

Sound familiar?

The home kit is actually OK, the second kit a bit bland but I've never liked white Rangers kits to be honest but the third kit is a real cracker in my opinion and I think it is on of the sharpest kits I've seen recently.

I don't see what the issue is with Rangers wearing Puma kits. If they're good enough for Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Italy then they can't be that bad.

To be honest, although Nike are a big name, their kits utterly stink and they tend to have a horrible feel and blotchy patterns and the sponsors logos always seem to be very loose from experience of Arsenal (my English team) and other kits. I was never keen on Nike kits even in the days Rangers had them. Nike make good trainers, T-shirts and tracksuits but their football shirts are just very poor.

Adidas kits are the best though and I was disappointed Rangers didn't sign with them as that was what was initially mentioned but Puma kits are OK.

The template argument is stupid as I see teams from non league divisions wearing kits practically identical to major teams so I don't see what the problem is. It is more a case of those teams getting high level kits than the bigger names getting poor kits. I've seen pub teams kitted out in smart Adidas kits and top clubs wearing vile cheap looking kits.

Personally I like the home kit very much. We all talk of templates so much these days, but there are only so many designs any kit maker can produce in a season. I am not a fan of black kits generally but I think this one looks smart.
Good job Puma and good luck Rangers, from an Englishman who always had a soft spot for Celtic, but no hatred for Rangers. I think Rangers will emerge from all of this in great shape, lessons learned and stronger to the core. As in life, it is our struggles that make us stronger.

Nasty looking home kit. The shorts look like clown trousers. Puma are the kings of the cheep and Nasty football kit. They have been fucking up Newcastle's shirts for the past few seasons, now it's Rangers turn.

Er, if you actually check your FACTS, nothing has yet been liquidated. The company that previously owned the club is still running and may yet possibly be merged with the current one, since it has come to light that it didn't actually owe anything like the mythical £130m the obsessed ones wanted it to owe. Ownership of the club was transferred to a new company in exactly the same way Fiorentina, Leeds United, Middlesborough and CELTIC have been, to name a few. Draw me a diagram of how you liquidate a 'team' young man.

Just because you want something to be true dosen't actually make it true. You'll realise that once you reach puberty........

I was looking down the replies for what other Rangers fans thought of the new strips and to my surprise NOT these comments are mainly from the manky mob and their fellow Rangers haters.

Personally I love the black one and that's what i'll be getting. Btw I haven't the foggiest idea what the strips of Septic, Dundee and Edinburgh Hibs and the Sheep look like. Or any other team for that matter.

Sad Rangers haters...

Zombie fc were caught out this season LYING about crowd numbers after their crowds were revealed by the police .
Half empty stadiums claiming 44 and 45,000 was part of the lie until the police crowd reports told the truth .
This no-mark lower league shambles of a club who claim to be the now dead rangers fc have become the laughing stock of world football .
Face it Zombies you're old club died and the only thing the new club has in common with the old is the sectarian bigotry
Glasgow IS Green And Whyte .

Puma's design team put effort into African kits, Italy kits, Usain Bolt & Ferrari.
Everything else they are affiliated with end up with cheap and ugly looking clothing and equipment.

All three kits are horrible. The home shirt isn't great and is made to look even worse matched with the baggy white kilts.the away shitlrt is a template from last season and the colours of the 3rd kit make it look like the Edinburgh rugby team.

3 bad kits but they are worthy of a bunch of unstylish wedgies who have nothing else to talk about in their lives except The Rangers, Celtic and big men.

I feel like that's a brighter, flirtier shade of blue... If I'm right, I feel like Rangers supporters might not appreciate the shift... but I'm not, so putting history aside, I think I can say that, objectively, I like it.

That said, this is still Puma, so even if they do really good, you're still looking at maxing out at about 4 out of 10 on the quality scale.

You lot can pretend you are still the old club but thanks to me, any one with any sense can see you are a shambolic relaunched pub team! So let the Scottish media fool you that "everythings okay" and carry on falling into the abyss that I created in my master plan to destroy you!!! MwaHAHAHAHAHAHaa!
See you later!

My apprentice Charles has now been sent back to Ibrox on my orders. He now will finish the club off forever within 12 months.
I ordered the board to spend the fake share issue on a lot of highly paid players to give you hope...however spending money raised by the share issue is a massive mistake! Obviously it should be used to stabalise the club.
It will destroy Rangers forever!!! My master plan phase 2 has commenced!
RIP SEVCO!

Just so you know, the 1 star is for winning the European Cup ( that's THE EUROPEAN CUP) and your 5 stars are for a former bigoted monstrosity of a football club who DIED last year!! While Celtic were beating Barcelona, YOUR lot were drawing with Elgin!! Enjoy the lower divisions, bigot!!
