Atletico Madrid 13/14 Nike Home Football Shirt

Atletico Madrid unveiled their new 13/14 home and away football shirts made by Nike which are available here.

The new home kit is inspired by one of the club’s most successful eras. The red and blue throughout the uniform are a shade darker than usual to represent the colours Atletico wore when they won the Spanish Cup and Spanish League title in the 1965-66 season.

Creative Football T-Shirts at Footytees.com - Featuring prints by a range of talented artists

The body of the shirt boasts Atletico’s famous red-and-white stripes while the sleeves are red with a white band near the cuff. A striking red collar with blue filled V-neck is inspired by the collar of the club's jersey from the 1960s.

Inside the neck is a label boasting a new and inspirational motto for the club: "110 Años de Leyenda 1903 – 2013 A Team for the World”  to honor the club’s 110 year anniversary. On the back is a small Spanish flag also bearing the club’s name to celebrate national pride. The new home shorts are blue, while the home socks are red with a white band at the top and a white block on the back.

Red and white stripes, it looks like a pretty standard Athletico kit, but it's a damn shame about the sponsor.

Possibly one of the nicer kits this year. Saying that, it has been pretty dire. :sigh: All in all though a smart kit

Brilliant! Nice touch to use darker shades of red and blue as a nod to Atletico's history. I'm not sure what all this hate of the sponsor is about either especially when compared to other shirts, as at least the blue and white lettering are official club colours

With half the Prem League been sponsored by gambling firms it seems odd how many folks in here get high n mighty about a country seeking tourists or investment by sponsoring a shirt. I'd rather have thiis on my team than bloody Cash Converters or Wonga .... An I'm a Hull fan Nice shirt

Nike manufactures kits to the teams that they sponsor you gimp, so yes Nike are a sponsor. That's why when some teams have press conferences the Nike swoosh is show with the other sponsors.
