Colorado Rapids 13/14 Home Adidas Home Football Shirt

The Colorado Rapids unveiled their new 13/14 Adidas home shirt with the names of season-ticket holders interwoven into the fabric.

Drew Moor, the team captain, modeled the new kit at a meet-the-team event for season-ticket holders.

The Adidas shirt remain burgundy but now feature white sleeves in a show of solidarity with club partner Arsenal, the London soccer club also owned by Denver sports mogul Stan Kroenke. Another addition: a small Colorado flag on the bottom left of the jersey front.

The shirt involves the names of the season ticket holders, which was announced in the preseason as part of the Rapids’ “One Club” initiative. Fans got their first glance at how it looked: four rows of names in black, small but readable up close.

For every Gooner that complains about Nike kits...look at what we would have to look forward to if Arsenal was with Adidas again.

Season ticket holder idea is nice.

The aesthetics of the kit? Not impressed.

A bit (they'll start using them in March of next year), but they're running a promotional discount on the jersey for season ticket renewals, so they wanted to drum up interest.

I like the cleanliness and simplicity of the kits over the last several seasons, but I would've liked to seen a little bit of sky blue trim, perhaps in the collar and sleeves. I am looking forward to finding my name on it, though.

They play through the calendar year. Colorado's season for 2012 is done so the next time they take field in a competitive match (around March next year) they'll be wearing this.
