This is the new Australia home football shirt and kit, by Nike, to be worn in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Available at Kitbag  and Nike.

The Socceroos will wear their traditional yellow/gold and green, with this kit honouring the 1974 team - the first Australian side to appear at a World Cup finals, in West Germany.

Creative Football T-Shirts at Footytees.com - Featuring prints by a range of talented artists

With the green "Johnny collar" and the Australian coat of arms crest housed within a new shield in the style of the version worn on the 1974 tournament's shirt, the shirt nods to that iconic and historically significant design.  This is combined with green shorts and white socks.

Inside the back of the neck are the words “We Socceroos can do the impossible”, quoting Peter Wilson, the 1974 team's captain.

Technology of the player versions includes Nike Dri-FIT, “burnout” mesh and laser-cut ventilation holes, all designed to regulate body temperature and enhance player comfort and performance, and the whole kit includes material from recycled plastic bottles.

love the aussie crest.

Unfortunately you can only buy replica shirts with the stupid ffa logo obscuring the shield. If the shield showing all six states emblems remained untouched, i'd buy this shirt.

Unfortunately that won't happen. The Australian Coat of Arms can only be worn on the genuine article and NEVER on a replica shirt (Coat of Arms is prohibited for private use). The same is true when the coat of arms appears on any sporting team uniform - the replica shirts always remove it.

Hey I was just the other day on the official website and there you could already preorder the replica kit with the original coat of arms on it. So you think they just don't have any picture of the replica shirt yet or are they paying tho the government to use the coat of arms?

No pictures... Nike has changed their website, as have Kitbag.
Back in 2006, the emblem used to have a football cover the 6 states... http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/2206/dsc03617d.jpg
now it's always the FFA logo.

Hopefully it will help us with our parking and speculative long shooting.

Interesting to see that Nike have just changed the neck insert from the 2013 Brazil shirt to green from yellow. As for the retro it's not bad just a shame that Umbro were doing this 5 years ago. Nike cutting edge of soccer design; give us a break !!!!!

At least Brazil won't be wanting shirts from the "home of football" will they! Of course kits are going to be similar, that's why in football there is a novel concept called away shirts!

Stick to reminding the world how rooney & co. are going to destroy Germany etc by playing for penalties. This shirt is good so stop being bitter, the ashes has finished!

Oh Look!
It' s Nike trying to imitate Umbro again, all "tradition" and "iconic"!

Plus it really IS a recycled Brazil.

You' re not going to get away with it that easy, guys...

Nike doesn't need to imitate a company they once owned. All brands have done retro kits, however when Umbro does it is "iconic" if Nike does it then they imitate, give me a break. Great kit by Nike

I like the homage to the Scocceroos of '73/'74..but gee this shirt is plain.

It just needs some kind of modernity about it.

I can't believe Nike pay their staff to come up with this stuff. Their kits are so simplistic they look they're designed by children

Correction; kits designed in the 1990's look like they were designed by children. It's as if they had discovered "paint" and thought we best use every flourish and feature possible. And of course homages to the past will look like other kits, they had a much narrower design range, . .

One persons simplistic is another's classic. At least they aren't with Adidas, they appear to have lost the plot completely. .

Brazil's 2013 template. It doesn't mean that the shirt isn't cool, but I didn't expect that to a world cup kit...

Brazil 2013 template had wider cuffs. As much as the shirt is similar, it's not an identical template. It's a style of t-shirt that exists for 30+ years and has specific links to past Australia's shirts.

This is really faithful to the qualifying kit that they wore in the build up to the Cup, but not the shirt worn in the actual finals. Probably would have preferred them to harken back to that one instead.

A bit plain, would have looked good with a yellow stripe on the side of the shorts. Still, great to Nike finally respecting tradition and giving them white socks. They should have done done the same with Brazil's kit and given them light blue shorts again.

Brazil wear yellow shirts and blue shorts and look like Sweden. What's your point?

Australia wear myrtle green and wattle gold, not yellow. These colours have been worn by Australia for over 140 years in international sport, years before Brazil had even kicked a ball; so get over it.
