I really like that. Simple yet beautiful, nothing groundbreaking.

EDIT: Shorts weren't shown in the original article, but they should be black, socks are nice on their own. And the chevron on the shirt looked similar to the colours in the 2011 kit in the original photo.

What because of the chevron'esque design on the chest? Give me a break...might as well say it also reminds you of the Manchester United kits of 2009-10. Its very different from the Mexican shirts of 2006 and actually looks unique, as most of the German kits are.

Could have been a lot better, reminds me of a St. Helens rugby shirt. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks adidas are deliberately making Germany's kits shite, as N.Ireland's good as is the possible Argentina away shirt. Which begs the question, why so poor for us?

Could it be because dfb were flirting with nike those years ago? Makes one wonder.... On a more sombre note respect and remembrances to the war dead on all sides, RIP.

Argentinas shorts will be white, apologies for my ignorance but have Paraguay qualified?
If so then they will probably have white or red shorts.
However in the rules it doesn't state specifically that away shorts can't be worn with a home shirt , so Germany may wear their home shirt with their away shorts(reportedly black) if there is no clash with the opposition perhaps?

You mean white shorts?????
Germany was the last of the national teams who respected the original uniforms. Finally, they succumbed to this crime, perpetrated by Nike and Adidas:
Portugal: all burgundy (I miss green shorts)
Netherlands: all orange (I miss white shorts)
France: all blue (I miss white shorts and red socks)
England. all white (I miss navy shorts)
Italy: all blue (I miss white shorts)
Russia: all red or all white (I miss blue shorts and red socks)
Czech Rep.: all red (I miss white shorts and blue socks)
etc...

Each team shall inform FIFA of two different and contrasting colours (one predominately dark and one predominately light kit) for its official and reserve team kit (shirt, shorts and socks).

Page 44 of
http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tournament/competition/01/47/38/17/regulationsfwcbrazil2014_en.pdf

No rule that the kits must be all one colour specifically and unsure as to the opportunities to wear the 'away' shorts with the home kit

If you look closely above the 'red v' you can see a faint black line and below there is also a faint yellow/gold line below. If the shorts were black like they are traditionally then the kit would be awesome. The white shorts aren't that bad though. Really good kit from adidas.

Let's hope the away one will be better.

May I mention the fact that they charge 79 € for it. RRP

That´s 80 Euro for a shirt? People who tailor these in Asia earn 80 € a month. It is a pervert and insane world.

Take your 80 € donate it to the Phillipines, Thailand, Bangladesh and make this world a wee bit better.

Mulit national companies earning more and more each year, suppressing their workers and battling any establishment of unions or any right.

I we - the 1st world - keep buying these shirts and do not force Nike, Adidas to pay much more wages and salaries to their employers we´re guilty.

Think twice before forking out 80 € for a shirt that is out of date in 2 years and will then rot in your closet(oh no, It can´t rot it is chemical polluted polyester fabric worth 5 €)

The reason this is done is because FIFA's rule for kit clashes recently has changed for the big competition. No team is allowed to wear shorts of the same colour of the opponent's shirts. Therefore, most of the time teams had to change to a one colour strip to avoid those clashes.

OK, but WHY? We've seen World Cups since 1930 and, as far as I know, nobody complained if (e.g.) Spain's blue shorts matched with Italy's blue shirts. Are they blind?
And therefore... "no team is allowed to wear shorts of the same colour of the opponent's shirt"... Which team wears black shirts to force Germany to wear white shorts?
FIFA is killing football

Germany = White shirt, black shorts, white socks
England = White shirt, navy blue shorts, white socks
France = Blue shirt, white shorts, red socks
Czech Republic = Red shirt, white shorts, blue socks

etc. etc.

The companies should respect the traditions. FIFA isn't to blame in this case because the rules dosen't say anything about a one coloured strip. Adidas is the villain here.

So, by your logic boycotting these companies is the right thing to do? As a consequence of this all that would happen is those factories would close, causing more abject poverty because the workers wouldn't have jobs. The human condition is preconditioned to make the best out of a bad experience, it becomes habit. I'm not saying it is right because morally it isn't but unfortunately life is like this.

Also, your argument about "we the 1st world" is too simplistic, in the area where I come from during the "glorious" industrial revolution eight year olds were chained to their beds. Funny how nobody remembers these exploited victims but shout from the rooftops, (as you are doing) when it happens in developing countries.

Close those factories and those existing workers cease to work, it's that simple.

Fifa is ruining tradition with forcing national teams to wear all mono colors. This has to stop. Sepp Blatter is a twat.

ADIDAS is a big sh... How come they dare to put away the historic German football uniform. IT MUST be WHIT-BLACK and WHITE. When you see that kit you know you are watching GERMANY playing. It is like Brazil, when you see the yellow, blue and white uniform. Brazil all YELLOW????
PITY, the German federation must to something before it is too late.

Is it FIFA or ADIDAS who is making this crime? Now I really do not know.

I am really angry, sad and a lot more. PLEASE, let the German football kit as always, Do not destroy it. I WANT the WHITE-BLACK and WHITE. The one who heralds the GERMAN FOOTBALL. Sorry about my English, but I need to put our my frustration even with a broken language.
