This is the new 2016/17 Celtic FC Third Kit by New Balance.

The 16/17 third kit is inspired by the colour of the 1967 European Cup final match ticket, the pink and black design honours the remarkable achievement of the ‘Lisbon Lions’ team.

buy-now

This famous team and their run to that final in 1967 makes Celtic ‘A Club Like No Other’, which is why this timeless phrase is applied to the internal hem of the new jersey.

The new design merges tradition with innovation as the modern shirt that will be worn by the likes of Leigh Griffiths, Moussa Dembélé and Scott Brown in the season ahead features the latest New Balance Dry technology, providing maximum comfort with a moisture wicking fabric that helps keep players cool and dry whilst wicking sweat from the body, making it fast drying.

The shorts that complement the shirt have been designed in black, with the same pink detailing. The kit is finished off with pink socks. To offer added support to the ankle, the socks have built-in comfort zones while the foot bed has been developed with polypropylene to help alleviate excess moisture when the foot makes contact with the boot.

Using a match ticket as insipration for a jersey is the most dubious thing I've ever heard. Why couldn't they have said "It's a modern shirt with a modern design with a fresh colour for the club." The shirt itself isn't that bad, but the simple fact that it's pink will mean that it'll get a lot of hate.

I didn't know Celtic had a golf team. Still,it won't need ironing, I expect to see the strikers chipping the keeper, surely pink is a birdies colour,etc,etc..

Hideous shirt for a hideous team with a morally corrupt sponsor.

Everyone involved should be ashamed.

That ticket has bronze and white on it to. They could have gone all out and had bronze and white shorts with pink, black, bronze and white hooped socks. That would have been a Masterpiece contender right there.....

The username of FTOF (F*** the Old Firm) suggests he/she is not a Scummy Sevco supporter, but rather one of the millions who despise both halves of said commercial organisation

It will get a lot of hate, rightly so. Pink isnt and will never be a Celtic colour.

Their black away strip is similarly inspired by all the tickets that are sold on the black market and touts outside the ground.
