This is the new Everton 16/17 Home kit by Umbro, who have drawn inspiration from Goodison Park for the Blues’ 2016/17 home kit.

The new strip celebrates the home of the Blues and includes the co-ordinates of the ‘Grand Old Lady’ in the back of the neck of the shirt.

Goodison Park is one of the world’s oldest purpose-built and most famous football stadia, hosting more top-flight games than any other stadium in England and home to a plethora of legendary footballing moments and Everton players, including Dixie Dean, Alan Ball and Alex Young.

In addition to boasting such a rich history, the stadium also features the famed criss-cross architectural signature of Archibald Leitch, who designed the Bullens Road stand.

This iconic design is also included on the shirt, with Umbro creating a Leitch-style graphic to appear above the co-ordinates of Goodison Park.

The 2016/17 home shirt, in traditional Everton blue, features a white rib collar and contrasting white and yellow detailing on the cuffs.

The shirt boasts the latest in technical innovation and includes a breathable structured mesh, featuring a graphic embossed panel, on the lower front side and back of the shirt.

The white shorts have a tailored silhouette with a blue and yellow trim, a subtle nod to the Umbro kit of 1997. White socks with a comfortable cotton footbed and a blue and yellow contrast stripe complete the kit.

Love the design from the stadium on the inside collar. Umbro are great at little details like this. They manage to take inspiration from things to put in their kits without sounding really patronizing like Nike are often guilty of.

I think every club wishes they had Umbro.

What I like most of all is that they don't impose their designs on clubs. Every one seems individually made and respectful of traditions.

A beautiful kit, with some subtle nods to classic Everton kits of old.

Who doesn't wish their club was dressed by Umbro?

I just wish other manufacturers would respect a clubs kit heritage as much as Umbro do.

It's an OCD nightmare, the sponsor's logo isn't centred so the 'g' is overhanging, and the word 'Chang' is slightly sloping away from the logo above...

The sponsors logo feels very dominant on this shirt.

The detailing looks heavy and unrefined.

Boring, uninspired shirt for a team who's shirt designs rarely differ.I know I'm in a minority but I find Umbro kits plain and boring.
