Sheffield Wednesday 16/17 Sondico Home, Away and Third Kits

Sheffield Wednesday unveiled the team’s full range of strips for the 2016/17 campaign.

The kits, manufactured by partners Sondico, will be donned throughout the season as Wednesday launch a renewed bid to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

The home shirt reinvents a Wednesday jersey of the early 1960s, illustrating the club’s traditional colour of blue, punctuated with white pin stripes to enhance the new design. A nod to the Owls’ long history, the shirt reflects chairman Dejphon Chansiri’s desire to delve into our heritage, as evidenced by the club’s change of crest earlier this year. With matching blue shorts and hooped blue and white socks, the strip is one of the most striking in recent years with a significant lift in fabric quality. The home shirt incorporates the ‘WAWAW’ slogan on the reverse and ‘SWFC’ on the inside placket.

Meanwhile, the away strip comprises an eye-catching blend of black shirts, orange shorts with hooped socks housing both colours. The Owls’ formation year of 1867 is woven into one sleeve, with ‘SWFC’ on the other.

Finally, the third strip is predominantly white with blue trim and shorts, finished with hooped blue and white socks. Following the theme of the away kit, the third strip has ‘1867’ and ‘SWFC’ woven into the sleeves.

All three shirts have the ‘Chansiri’ motif across the front, underlining the continued sponsorship commitment of the Owls’ chairman. The 2016/17 shirts combine many different specialist materials with Optivent technology, a moisture management system which works with the body to maximise comfort and dry perspiration fast.

The fabric technology combines stretch, moisture management, breathability and comfort to create the ultimate in performance sportswear.

You don't deserve the promotion after such an unscrupulous disgracing of Wednesday's colours.
