Barcelona 17/18 Nike Home Kit

This is the new FC Barcelona 17/18 home kit by Nike. For the first time the shirt will bear the name of Japanese company Rakuten, the Club’s new global sponsor from 1 July.

The new FC Barcelona home kit is defined by an updated interpretation of the traditional Blaugrana stripes and Aeroswift technology, for cutting edge performance replete with contemporary detailing.

On the torso, the traditional Blaugrana is updated and defined by red attenuating vertical stripes against a deep royal blue background. Detailing inspired by the club’s history and culture can be seen on the neck collar, which is partially defined by the Catalan flag, the Senyera. The shirt’s engineered knit zones create a subtle geometric pattern that enhances fit for the athlete in motion.

Club inner pride detailing can be discovered with “Força” on the inner right sleeve and “Barça” on the left.

A darker red stripe begins at the inside of sleeve and the jersey, and expands when the player is in motion, to maximize ventilation. The classic FC Barcelona blue shorts also feature this darker red stripe to provide greater ventilation.

Completing the kit, blue socks infused with Nike Grip technology, feature “Barça” on the front in contrasting gold, whilst a distinctive red linear graphic runs down the back of the calf.

@Djer73 Uhhh, are you aware of what Nike did two years ago?

If ever you needed another reminder of why Nike should give up "Designing" football kits this is it, I mean how the hell have they managed to fuck up a Barca kit? I'd have thought it impossible prior to this.

Horrible. They're just bothered about the sponsor on the front. They could've chose any design and they've racked up this franchise shite. Disappointing...

I do not like the "the updated interpretation of the traditional blaugrana stripes" and the new sponsor, whoever they are.

The stripes are similar to those on the Paris SG shirts of 1992, 93, 94.

    The shirt is very unbarcelona.

I'm a keen barca fan, however, I think I'll skip this barca shirt.

I like the look...too bad Nike as a company sucks ass.
3 times i placed an order to purchase the new jersey and 3 times they've canceled it claiming its not available.
Even after getting an email from a Nike rep apologizing and giving me free overnight shipping to re-order as he said they have plenty in stock.
    F Nike

Not a fan. Lazy from Nike to say the least. Also there's way too much navy blue, doesn't look right.

I'm not a 'hater' or a 'fan boy' of any brand (because I've got a life), but I know a rubbish kit when I see one. This kind of design is more suited to the J-League.

It's shit, an abomination, far too much navy blue. It'd look a bit better with maroon sleeves instead of navy, I feel.

@Footyfanatic Nike are quite new to the 'soccer' game compared to the euro brands.. I've never seen a kit of their's that had style or looked particularly well made... cheap, boring and they've had a negative impact on other kit brands following their lead such as puma and to an extent adidas..

@David Wagner Completely agree the UNICEF bs turned out as a step in the door of shirt sponsorship...how deceitful of them.
    Awful kit too..
