Sunderland AFC’s new Adidas home kit for the 18/19 have been unveiled.

The new home shirt sees a return to broader stripes, and features a round neck, which is favoured by players and supporters. The logo of Betdaq, the club’s new principal partner, sits prominently on the front of the shirt, along with logo of technical partner, adidas and the club crest.

The shirt is complemented by interchangeable shorts, in both red and black, giving options for when kit clashes occur. The kit also features red socks with a red and white turnover cuff.

Both the shirt and shorts feature ventilated adidas climacool® technology to keep wearers dry and cool.

Is the badge shaped like a tear drop to symbolize mackem supporters pain?

Looks good from the front, but I'll reserve judgement until I've seen whether the back is striped or a lazy plain red or white.

It's not 'lazyness' it's new FA rules which means 'contrasting colour' striped kits need a plain back.

The new WBA shirt has a striped back ??

Love both of the shirts, but I’m not buying the interchangeable shorts story. From everything I’ve read, the home shirts are/were red - so I’m guessing they recognized the backlash they would get from the fans. It looks SO much better with the away shorts and socks.

Was hoping very much for a striped back.....but its not to be
The front reminds me 0f 2010/11 umbro shirt with its jagged edge stripes...which I like

Puts me in the mind of that as well as the home 2000 shirt

new FA rules means you wont be getting a striped back for a very long time

Looks nicer up close than from afar. Still, a fairly good shirt.

last years kit was horrendous imo. Nice kit this year

Very nice. But a slight tangent - if you're Real Madrid paying Adidas however much in your kit deal, you're probably not going to be happy that you've got the same template for your home shirt as a League One club!
