Hull City revealed their new home shirt that will be worn during the 19/20 season as the club's partnership with technical kit supplier umbro moves into a sixth successive campaign.

The new, bespoke design gives a nod to the infamous ‘tiger skin’ shirts worn between 1992 and 1995 on the front body, in a move away from the predominantly striped jerseys that have been seen in recent years.

Also featured is the Club’s new crest, which has been introduced following a supporter-led redesign process, while the back of the shirt hosts a ‘Tigers’ sign-off just below the round collar.

The new shirt will be accompanied by black shorts with amber contrast side panels, while amber socks with ‘Tigers’ lettering on the back complete the strip.

Speaking about the new home kit, Natasha Chapman, Brand Manager for Hull City, said: “We’re sure this new shirt will prove popular with supporters as we go for something a little different to previous years. We would like to thank Umbro for their support in delivering a unique design that references one of the most recognisable Hull City strips of all-time.”

Jonathan McCourt, UK Marketing Manager for Umbro, added: “This is a really exciting launch for the Club, as well as Umbro, as we go with a really bold graphic design across the front chest, and one that will hit a chord with the fan base as we give a nod back to the 90s. We hope the kit can create lasting memories on and off the field.”

The new kit will be on sale online and in Tiger Leisure stores from 9am on Saturday 29th June, with adult, junior, infant and baby sizes available.

Meanwhile, the Tigers’ new away kit for the 2019/20 season is expected to be revealed next month.

This is actually not a bad shirt! Some people are going to totally loathe it but for a club whose nickname is Tigers, this absolutely hits the mark. Folks are gonna say what they want but at least the fellows from Umbro are showing a bit more creative flair than the other kit manufacturers. Yes, I'm talking about Nike and Adidas. None of the bog standard cookie cutter / template nonsense. I'm not a supporter of Hull but I'd buy it.

Absolutely phenomenal. Take note Nike, Adidas, Puma.

Take note? On how to make shitty designed kits by a spastic 4 year old with no fingers? Yeah sounds about right for umbro!

Applaud the originality of the shirt, and the tiger stripes are fine... I just don't like that orange/amber piece on the neck line. Sorry just my opinion but spoils it somehow.

This is the best looking shirt that's been released this season! It will take some beating. I'm a Barnsley fan and I've already heard ours is the same as Swindon's, so as per usual same old boring kit.

Not a football shirt. Crass. Looks like a rugby league or ice hockey kit.

Every umbro kit so far, including my teams West ham and Hearts, have been fresh with a nod to tradition...... Well done and keep it up.... Take note the other lazy manufacturers!!
Seen the new man u shirt 1st hand the other day and its pathetic....

To Brenda the Barnsley fan.
I can assure you that Barnsley's kit will not be like Swindon's 2019/20 kit .
The four year Puma contract has ended with Barnsley after the 2018/2019.

Really like it.

Oh and the new crest was not Supporter led.
It was an owner selected focus group choosing from pre agreed shitty templates. #allamout

Sorry but that is one awful shirt...Umbro seem to have lost their edge of late and sadly are producing some naff looking kits☹️

Anybody who uses words like "naff" is better off commenting about tennis or some shite than commenting about football.

Naff off! Naff is not a naff word! It's wonderfully '90s, much like this throwback shirt...

Looks like something you'd get off skeggy market. Naff. Will go perfect with their retarded "you're getting mauled by the Tigers" chant.
