This is the new Italy 2019-20 Third football shirt by Puma.

Directly from the archives, renewed for a new generation of players, PUMA Football has created a green kit for the National team that is inspired by the Renaissance period and celebrates the many young talents who are increasingly becoming protagonists of the Azzurri's successes.

With patterns inspired by Renaissance fabrics and architecture, the green color of the kit dates back to the "Maglia Verde" worn once by Italy during the 2-0 win against Argentina in December 1954 at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.

Very dumb idea. They are known as. “The Azzuri” , which translates as “The Blues “ ( for the non italian speakers), so to have a green shirt ( even as the 3rd shirt, makes no sense whatsoever - from the football perspective of course. From the marketing petspective- well that’s a different thing altogether. It is an obvios money grabbing attempt in line with this current trend of teams having completely nonsensical colours on their “ third” kits . For example, Juventus’ obominational green shirt last season , grey shirt this season. Barcelona witheir flouro green shirts, Tottenham with their purple shirts etc etc etc.

they excused it as third jersey, how many nation has third jersey for their national team? that's it, all just commercial purposes, even psg has 4 jerseys this year, others has 3, if green is unacceptable, their flag is green white red, so why they're called "the azzuri", not "il rosso", since white is 2nd jersey, then green is the third. make sense??
