The Australia national team 2020 Away kit by Nike has been revealed earlier today.

When required to change, the men’s and women’s teams - the Socceroos and the Matildas - now have a “freshwater” green Away shirt, with gold detailing via the Nike “Swoosh” logo and side-of-torso trim and obsidian complements in the neck, cuffs and patch on which the full-colour crest is mounted.

The Nike design, as well as comprising all the US manufacturer’s football kit tech - including NextGen VaporKnit - is part of the “Move To Zero” campaign, so is made from recycled polyester from plastic bottles.

To complete the look, the shirt - which also has a Southern Cross detail on the upper back - will be worn with dark, obsidian shorts and freshwater socks.

You can see the differences in the badge between the 'Stadium' (fan version) and the 'Vapor' (player version) shirts, amongst other differences in the detail. Both are horrendously expensive but the differences between the two versions are too pronounced across the Nike range. The cheaper versions look waaaay too cheap.

If you encounter water the colour of this shirt do not assume it is 'freshwater' and safe to drink as it may harm you irrevocably; likewise, if you encounter a shirt that is introduced with the gumph that most, as this, are, do not assume they are football shirts, as this may irrevocably harm your idea of what a football shirt is meant to be.
