Nike and Football Federation Australia have today unveiled the new, 2020 Australia Home kit.

The Socceroos’ (and Matildas’) new Home shirt is part of Nike’s “Move To Zero” initiative, so utilises recycled polyester from plastic bottles, and is in “Australian gold” with a contrasting polo shirt-style green collar. The “Swoosh” logo is also in green, as well as the side-of-torso trim and cuffs, while the elaborate crest is in full colour on a tonal patch.

The shirt will be worn with green shorts and gold socks to complete the look.

Awful, just awful

It looks a lot like a shirt they had recently. It's too basic and just another cut and paste job from Nike.

At least we finally have green shorts back.
The yellow shorts were an abomination and should never be seen again.

Agree Mark. A return to white socks would be welcome too. But let's face it this is just a gold polo with an Aussie badge slapped on it. Lacks any imagination at all.

Not even close to resembling a football shirt. Dreadful.

It’s nice but isn’t it just the 2014 jersey with buttons?

Nike and Adidas, the laziest can`t-be-arsed design teams in football. Disgrace.

More importantly, why are they releasing their 2020 shirt in September?

They Play their soccer in the summer months down under and are just coming into the start of spring, I.E October and the start of the season.

That’s why they’ve released it in September.

Polo Shirt, looks similar to a template they used 10 years ago for Kaizer Chiefs amongst others.

So that’s the travel polo....,,where’s the jersey? And the away shirt looks like a warm up top. Lazy design!
