Liverpool FC has revealed the new Nike Away kit for the 20/21 season.

Having introduced teal through subtle design references in the home jersey, the colour explodes into a bold print on the 2020-21 away jersey — heavily influenced by the Liver Bird (the beacon of the city). The kit is also emphasized by the Shankly gates, which are brought to life through the swirling acanthus leaves that embellish the legendary You’ll Never Walk Alone motif.

On the nape of the neck, and in memoriam of the 96 children, women and men who lost their lives more than three decades ago at Hillsborough in the worst disaster in British sporting history, a 96 emblem is encased by eternal flames.

The shorts are teal and have a black stripe down the side and the socks carry through the aesthetic of the jersey.

What a load of old bollox. The kit is ridiculous.

Totally agree . The sale garbage these manufacturers and clubs come out with is getting more ridiculous by the year . Just release the kit like teams used to do.

It looks like a really poor and cheap attempt at copying Forest Green Rovers' third kit.

It’s looks like wallpaper from the 1970’s. Cheap 1970’s wallpaper. Not a fitting kit for the champions. Oh dear.

I don't get the use of this colour - it's too close to blue, a colour which Liverpool would never use. All for a funky away kit, after releasing a classic and simple home, but what a horrible colour. Maybe actual green, or something else entirely. Just my 2p

Only Nike would think that blue's an acceptable colour for a Liverpool away kit. Absolutely stupid cretins.

Looks like Mane is playing for Man City there ffs

He will be in 21/22

If it were plain and in the lighter teal shade, I could just about accept the fact that they've gone with this colour because the basic details of the crew-neck, cuffs and side stripe work well together. I understand that with teams having 2 new away kits every year, there are bound to be some strange colour and design choices, but Nike seem to have gone down the Warrior route with this and the upcoming 3rd kit (which looks dreadful). The yellow away goalkeeper kit is a belter though.

I love the color, but the patterning is like a bad drug trip i was on once.

What!!!??? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this piece of trash. Liverpool's kits used to be so exclusive and classy. Now they are just like any other mediocre clubs around.

Am I the only one who actually likes this? The pattern I could take or leave, but I like the colour, nice nod to the liver bird and it’s not even remotely close to royal blue to suggest they can’t wear it

Nike don't give a shit, they just design something they think will sell well in the far east

  1. Big Dave

well done to liverpool for including mentally disabled people to model the shirts...
