This is the new Club Atletico Peñarol 129th anniversary shirt by Puma.

The new shirt celebrates the history of the club but also offers a reinterpretation of a special shirt worn in the 3-1 victory over Inter Bratislava in the 1971 Montevideo Cup, which Peñarol went on to win by controversially defeating main rivals National in the final.

Half green and half comprising the Uruguayan giants’ black and yellow stripes, the retro feel is maintained with Puma branding which also looks to the past. The collar and cuffs match in green and yellow, while partner branding is in white and the crest appears in full, standard colouring.

The shirt will be worn, combined with black shorts and socks, in a fixture in early October.
