The Addicks could again be facing problems with their shirt sponsor as Llanera; the Spanish property group based in Valencia are facing up to the prospect of going bankrupt.

A £6.6million four and a half year deal was signed with Llanera in December 2005, but less than two years into this there is a real possibility the Addicks could be left without a shirt sponsor, and the loss of revenue that will go with it.

Llanera are currently in talks with creditors in a desperate attempt to restructure their £210million debts. However Addicks Chief Executive Peter Varney remains confident that there will be no repercussions: 'We are aware of the problems Llanera are having but we have been told they are working to resolve them. There is no impact on the club at the moment.'

Obviously should the deal be scrapped, unless the Addicks had been paid in full upfront, which would be unlikely the deal will not be honoured and money lost? Any new sponsor that comes in will obviously not be as financially rewarding now as the Addicks are, and will be a Championship side for at least this season.

However we are no strangers to this are we, all:sports, our previous shirt sponsors went into administration midway through a £3million deal with the club in September 2005.

Chief executive Peter Varney said: "We are aware that Llanera currently have financial difficulties and are working very closely with them.

"I must stress that it has not impacted upon us at all financially at present and we remain hopeful they will be able to resolve their current difficulties in consultation with their bank."
