Up for auction : Holland 1988 EC home-shirt worn/issued playershirt #3
The seller added the following : For sale a worn or at least issued Holland Euro 1988 home-shirt with nr. 3. Nr. 3 belonged to former Feyenoord defender Sjaak Troost, who did not play during the Tournament, but was on the bench.
This shirt belonged to him during Euro 1988. After that he gave the shirt away to a friend from who I bought the shirt. The shirt has been washed and worn several times after the Tournament and that is why it is not in new-condition anymore. The plastic Adidas-logo has been faded of the shirt and the Adidas-label has been cut, but you can still see that it has been there (picture 4). On picture 5 you can see how it was before.
However the shirt is still unique and has all details from a playershirt:
- correct KNVB-lion, not embroidered but printed on the shirt!
- correct number on the shirt which has been sewn on.
- correct V-neck-collar
- correct fabric which the shirt has been made of, is different from replica-shirts.
Size of the shirt is probably an L or XL.
I do have 2 other Holland home-shirts from Euro1988 with which I have compared the shirt. All 3 shirts are equal and are clearly authentic worn/issued playershirts.
