new Real Madrid 08/09 home and away shirts by adidas

Here you have the first pictures of the new Real Madrid home and away football shirts for the 2008/09 season made by Adidas. The Goalkeeper shirt is yellow.

The shirts are not officially unveiled. These are "leaked" pictures and it will take a while until the official launch.

Although I find these shirts looking better than the current shirts, I still
don't think they are very interesting. The white shirt could might as well have
been an A/C Milan away shirt.
Looks like the keeper shirt is gonna have 3/4
sleeves, which could be pretty cool(I assume that the yellow shirt in the last
picture is the goalie shirt.

the away shirt is nice, the home one is good but i prefer the home and away
shirts for this season though.
I always think Real Madrid home shirts look
better with purple stripes rather than black.
FDV   |2008-02-11
Away shirt is terrible,as usual for Real Madrid.
Home shirt is very simple..I
only like the the black stripe on the collar but I think it could be much
better with purple stripes instead of black ones.
Nowadays shirt is better than
next one.
Am I wrong or home shirts has also some light grey loops?
ali   |2008-02-11
very nyc.. simple and effective

yes FDV i think there is some light greyish
hoops in the home kit
djm   |2008-02-11
the current away jerseys look great. THIS IS ASS
RPM  - no hoops   |2008-02-11
Look closely at the home picture--there aren't grey hoops on the kit, those are
a lighting artifact. The blinds were probably down over windows across from the
wall the kit is hanging on or something. You can tell because the bands extend
across the whole image, not just the shirts, and nor do they follow the angle of
the shirt, which is hanging slightly at an angle.

would have been cool if there were light grey hoops

I think Niko's got it right. It's a perennial problem with adidas - their three
stripes are so central to their design, they either go way over the top and put
too much frippery in the strip, or each kit looks like the last, getting
generally duller and blander. It was a big problem with their last three
Manchester United strips. Nike don't always get it right - their strips in the
2002 world cup were appalling - but what they do have is design flexibility.
FDV  - Trade off   |2008-02-11
I think it's a trade off.
The 3 stripes are the most envied detail in sports
history..
Many other kit suppliers tried to create new charachteristic
formats, but no one reached the incredible brand awareness provided by the 3
stripes.
It's also true that this could also be a cage..Adidas models will
always be similar year by year..while Nike and all the others are free to
experience every year totally new ideas..like Nike's arrows in 2002,Puma's back
bow in 2006 or Lotto spiky tips in the same year..
But I think that all the
others kit suppliers would like to have lack of freedom, to be owners of
something so special like the three stripes.

Another minor example of a strong
awareness provider is the kappa kombat fit models.Kappa shirts are almost the
same from 2000,but everyone is aware of a kappa shirt just looking at the fit.
Emre  - Real Madrid should be unique   |2008-02-11
Their kit should be unique. It should have been pure white and away kit should
be pure purple.
RZ     |2008-02-12
And Real Zaragoza home shirt?
real madrid fan #1   |2008-02-16
i love the home shirt but not so crazy about the away shirt. I want to see the
letters & numbers.
Hazard   |2008-02-25
away kit looks nice, the blues are kl in it. home kit is too plain and boring.
johnbarnes   |2008-03-01
not too impressed. adidas should stay to there old recipe
st   |2008-03-06
the home one is boring
John   |2008-03-23
I think the away kit look like the awaykit of ajax amsterdam
Anonymous   |2008-04-12
Away shirt nice home nasty :eek
runlsd  - meh   |2008-04-17
mediocre..
jalapenio   |2008-05-04
although i like the classic look of real madrid home shirts, this one is just
way too boring. i believe their best home kit so far was the 2003-2004 and the
2006-2007 wasnt bad either except for the sponsor logo.

its sad... the best
club in the world wearing a boring kit. :zzz :zzz igh
Mariano  - omg   |2008-05-04
i dont like it i want the 07/08 kit but with black stripes i dont like this one
kind of polo shirt!it sucks
Raul4Ever7  - old   |2008-05-05
This shirt looks just like the 05-06 shirt with a new sponsor on the front. I
was really looking forward to the new one for the 08-09 campaign after our
awesome ones for the 07-08 year. But, let down.
stoke city potter  - i could have made this   |2008-05-05
least there aint no purple, but this is an absolute failure looks like a cheap
fake kits you buy off the markets in spain! :grin
Legsaroonie  - bland   |2008-05-10
I agree with Raul4Ever7...
Afta the 07-08 rm kits, i tut the comin ones wud b a
step forward, howvr da new home one jus reverts bak to old ones, e.g 05-06 which
i still have.
spaz   |2008-05-14
once again, real madrid's home jersey is amazing. they need to work on the away
and 3rd jersey's though, could be more interesting.
Nick     |2008-05-15
I agree with the general comments abour the 3 purple stripes
not black which is
hardly unique.I like the colours used on the away kit and the design on the
goalies kit, allthough
don't worry guys it is only for a year, and this seasons
lush purple trimmed shirts can soon be purchased at half price! But the idea of
the purple is because real is royal and royal colours are purple-so maybe they
are becoming more solcialist-who knows?
ajax  - the same     |2008-05-15
:upset :zzz :? :eek why it s almost the same from last season
roberto carlos  - wow very nice   |2008-05-16
wow thats very nice hehehe from roberto carlos da silva :p
iker casillas   |2008-05-19
the home shirt is like the one in season 05-006
los_merengues  - RMD rules   |2008-05-26
The jersey is great... But I think that a black jersey is better... Hello from
Montenegro...
Rafi  - Madridista forever!     |2008-06-06
I think the 07/08 Away dress of Realmadrid is better than the 08/09 one.Dark
Blue was Superb! Purple's not looking that great.
Rafi  - madridista for life     |2008-06-06
the 07/08 away jersey is better than 08/09 one.
jason   |2008-06-05
saber alguienes algo de la nueva camiseta del real zaragoza ????
justin   |2008-06-10
WHAT ABOUT THE PURPLE!
home kit is pretty good, traditional real madrid, but we
keep puttin black inour kits, lets keep the traditional purple! and our away kit
is alright as is but it looks so much like FCB's
malay madrid  - need to buy other club kit   |2008-07-09
i am madrid's fan.. but every season, i need to buy other club's kit.. because
madrid never produce a nice kit for me..
tim   |2008-07-11
the keeper shirt from last season was heaps cool. i hope its not the yellow one
next to the away strip
Irwin - Madrid fan 4 life   |2008-07-20
I agree wth some of you guys..The Home jersey looks like the 05-06 home shirt..I
do like the away shirt,It's like the Spain Euro 08 model, which I also
have."Viva Espanha"..I really want to see the 08-09 3rd shirt.I really
liked the 3rd shirt of last season 07-08.I hope this season 3rd shirt will be
more awsome than the home and away shirt of this season..And the goalkeeper
shirt...I know it's gonna be cool...like ALWAYS..It's made for the best
goalkeeper of the world at the moment..And you know who that is...Greetings from
Suriname,South America.
