The Charles Buchans football monthly genuine leather wallet presented in a branded keepsake tin, and the 18 panel PU leather football in a gift box. A real football with superb print quality. Can either be read and admired or kick around the park!

Charles Buchans football monthly was the worlds first football magazine! The first issue came out over 50 years ago in September 1951. The first words written were "Our object is to provide a publication that will be worthy of our National game and the grand sportsmen who play and watch it". Charlie Buchan was an England international before and after the First World War, and then became a journalist.

Charles Buchan's Football Monthly has a fascinating history and, since the 1950s, has had many owners most of whom took it on as a labour of love. There have also been many periods of inactivity. However, while at Chelsea Football Club, Ken Bates rekindled life into the magazine when it was published regularly once again, albeit without Charles Buchan's name on the front cover.

In 1999, Charles Buchan's Football Monthly, including the copyright to archives, was acquired from Chelsea Football Club by Football Monthly Ltd when it was published briefly once again with Charles Buchan's name in the title. Now, most of the entire collection is preserved and stored electronically here .
