I love the Le Coq Sportif and Kappa designs.

KEEP LE COQ!
Kev   |2008-04-21
Love the Umbro 2nd stripes. All terrific
Iain Cameron  - man city fantasy   |2008-04-21
The Puma kits are quite nice
Goatscheese   |2008-04-21
I think the Adidas 3rd is a quality shirt.
Gervillian Swike   |2008-04-21
None are as nice as the current Le Coq strip though. Tell you what would really be welcome on a Man City shirt - a badge that resembles the one they wore in the early 70's, then again in the late 80's and early 90's. That pseudo-Nazi design with the three meaningless stars has never looked good.
SpursXI   |2008-04-21
all the away designs are good
Sport-to-wear blog     |2008-04-21
i prefer the adidas ones...and some form umbro

ah,
last sunday on Palmeiras' stadium(in Sao Paulo), there was a blackout and so the crowd that were using their flashy lemon jerseys started showing off it to "light up" the stadium,hehehe...
see pics and more in my blog http://sport2wear.wordpress.com/2008/04/21/vai-uma-luz-ai/
Cal   |2008-04-22
Cheers for all the comments :grin
I think the adidas one might be a bit more subliminal than what first appears - look at the sponsor - its not the '.com' logo as on the others (apart from two of the Umbro ones).

I did them before I found the current version of the sponsor (with .com) - I think this kinda makes it look better, and more modern without the .com...?

Gerald McGow   |2008-04-22
All three Puma ones are excellent
samkingclon  - man city   |2008-04-22
the kappa home & away jerseys are imo the nicest. very simple design. kappa make class jerseys. the 3rd is not so good though.

could someone do an arsenal version of this( i know it aint gonna change from nike but it would be nice to see)
Scottsman   |2008-04-22
i would like the adidas one if the adidas logo was in the right place (center of the shirt)

Cal   |2008-05-03

Dan Freebairn  - Adidas   |2008-05-08
the adidas ones are the best i love the 3rd kit its realy good and diffrent!!!

if any1 finds or knows of any pics of the 08/09 city kits can you e-mail me!! (d4nny_77@hotmail.com)
Nicholas Dane   |2008-05-09
Well done Cal,
I love the Umbro (plus the idea City would venture back to the double diamonds once more) that claret and white away is wonderfull. The Adidas is also beautifull-the away kit excellent-the Kappa one isn't as good-but I really haven't liked the Kappa kits since they went all plain on us!
Would the Puma kit be choclate(fair-trade choclate) brown or is it maroon? Very very good again, the Nike kits look okay( the design of the home one i can see being worn by arsenal-red main, white raglan and navy trim on the bottom-same as new brazil.) the away is very Inter but again has requisite retro levels. And do you do this as a hobby or as a living?Superb collection. The least faves woulkd be Kappa and Le Coq.
sale blues   |2008-05-09
puma and umbro and bring back the old badge
Chester Blue   |2008-05-09
All very good, but for me Umbro especially the away kit. Agree comment re badge, lets go back to the proper club badge with the galleon and the rose.
kev20971   |2008-05-10
Like the Puma kits, Umbro home & away not 3rd, also the Kappa home & away, not the 3rd it's just horrible
kev20971   |2008-05-10
Missed out the Nike away shirt, look's good
Cal   |2008-05-10
Nicholas Dane - Cheers for the comments - the Puma away is maroon, never brown haha.
I just do it when I'm bored - I started messing about just copying kits when I was about 4 or 5 with my dad on Deluxe Paint on the old Amiga, around 1991/92 ish.
Carried on doing it a bit more when I was around 12-15, then kinda lost interest. Am now at uni doing a design course, so whenever I get bored, or stuck with work, I generally just check out the new kits around. I found this site, and though 'hmm I used to design a load of kits, might aswell give it ago' - so I did
Nicholas Dane     |2008-05-12
Cal, yes I confess instead of doing homework I designed fake strips instead as well- best of luck with your chosen career as I think you will do well at it.
Remember to ignore the journos who always want to go back to the old days(60s,70s etc).
woo   |2008-05-15
the adidas ones are the best
9torres   |2008-05-15
i like the kappa and adidas designs :grin :grin :grin
Uncle Daddy!   |2008-05-18
Nice work Cal. Now get on with your studies before I tell yer dad....
Cal   |2008-05-18
Haha...I've finished now anyway :grin

If you're not 'uncle daddy' then you've picked a very good name to confuse me with haha
Cal's Dad   |2008-05-19
Too late my boy... I'm afraid you've been rumbled (Uncle Daddy sent me an email!).

Fantastic work, though. If you only get a drinker's degree (a 2:2) now I'll know why. Now get a job with Umbro and earn a fortune!! See you Saturday!

PS Home - Adidas. Away = Puma. 3rd - Kappa.
Cal   |2008-05-20
Haha...fair enough - I shouldn't get a 2.2, doubt it very much :p
Dennis the Menace   |2008-05-20
Puma (home)

Nike (away)

Nike (3rd)
Kyle   |2008-05-20

mancjester city fc  - re: chair man     |2008-06-02
as chairman of manchester cit football club i would like to admitt all of these quality designs would be rather nice looking at man city but i have to tell you that it is illegal to copy or design your own kit as this will be used as fraud thank you very much

We welcome the chase  - Rangers Away 08/09   |2008-06-04
Completed my first design using the Hearts Away top design. What do you think?
Posted image
BlueNosey   |2008-06-04
Like the French flag??

No thanks!
Nick   |2008-06-04
Yeah it is good that is for sure.
Especially with the idea of the tricolour and penguin design together-yet modern neckline.
I would change the cuffs to a shade of blue&red.
Blue shorts and white socks.
But it is a very attractive kit.
Rangers ready for the trip.
Third kit would be that lilac colour they wore in the mid
90s' during their adidas years(St Johnstone, Kilmarnock trips etc would need the dreaded 3rd kit.)
