Here it is, Stoke City's new le coq sportif 08/09 home kit. Worldwide sport manufacturers le coq sportif have once again come up with a stunning new design which promises to be an even bigger hit than this season's strip.
The new look shirt features a predominant red stripe down the front, with le coq sportif's stylish blue logo on both the right hand sleeve and the right hand side of the chest. The Stoke City club crest is positioned as usual on the left hand side of the chest. The back of the new shirt features a blocked out red section at the top for the players name, to comply with FA regulations. The new shorts display the clubs crest and kit manufacturers on the side instead of the customary front.
The kit will be available to purchase from both the official club shop at the Britannia Stadium and the Potteries Shopping Centre Store today, with them both opening at 9am. As always the kit will be available in a wide range of sizes including Adults, Ladies, Juniors and Infants and we will stock both long sleeve and short sleeve shirts.
Retail Manager Wayne Cowen says: "Once again I am delighted with the stylish design that we have produced in conjunction with le coq sportif. "This seasons kit was hugely popular and we are anticipating this one to be even more in demand."
:eek This shirt is the best goin all teams in prem watch ya bk coz stoke are commin to town n with this brill new kit we be top of the prem in no time! :eek
Apparently the design has split the Stoke fans, some love it, others hate it. One big central stripe is a bold move but historically things go wrong for Stoke when they experiment with their kit design.
Their awful relegation in 1984/85 came when they wore an Umbro shirt with red and white pinstripes and red sleeves. Their were relegated to the third tier in 1990 when they wore a Scoreline shirt with orthodox red stripes but with red pinstripes inside the white stripes. And they were also relegated back there in 1997/98 when Asics experimented with stripes of unequal width.
Not sure that Andy Griffin was the best player they could have picked to model it, either
Looks smart enough, a bit normal by standards. I was expecting something alot more special as we are playing premier league football next season, i hope that we show alot more flair and freshness than those who designed the new kit or else :eek :upset . But who cares we are up its a nice decent kit and lets put it this way, its stoke could we really have hoped for anything any better???
Lovin the new shirt design. Will look great on Match Of The Day! :grin Although I normally prefer the more traditional red & white stripe format, this is considerably better than the pinstripe abomination of '84/85 and all the other deviations since.
Not full marks just yet though, why on earth did the Coqs at Le Coq Sportif decide to put their logo on the sleeve right in the very place where every man and his dog wants to put their new Premier League arm patches!? Do'h!!
it is a great shirt but still says cock on it im not best happy coz im stoke fan and i got wear cock on my shirt. wish we wear sponserd by bigger team coz we are now in prem :grin :grin :grin :grin :grin :grin :grin
