This is the new Anderlecht 08/09 Centenary home kit made by Adidas. RSC Anderlecht's new home shirt for the season 2008-2009 has been officially unveiled on Thursday 1st May 2008 at 19h08! The time 19u08 is symbolic, seeing that RSC Anderlecht was founded in the year 1908. The new home outfit has been specially designed on the occasion of RSC Anderlecht's centenary and will be worn by the players for the first time during the top game against Club Bruges next Saturday 3rd May. For that matter, the new home line will be on sale at the RSC Anderlecht fanshop from Saturday 3rd May onwards.

Anderlecht colours are purple and white, and the club's home kit is generally white with purple trim, though they did wear a black and purple home kit in the 2005-06 season. In the beginning, purple was the main colour of the shirts. The motto of Anderlecht (Mens sana in corpore sano) is written on its badge as are the three letters SCA referring to the initial name of the club (Sporting Club Anderlechtois). A crown was added in 1933 following the name change to Royal Sporting Club Anderlechtois.

Anderlecht have caught the same bug as the likes of Werder Bremen and Hertha Berlin - alternate the home kit colours each season and keep the previous home kit as the new away.

Anyhow the shirt looks pretty decent, a 4/5 me thinks.

photo shoot is so fake (not the best adjective), well, err, bad acting. gosh, can these people just do normal photo shoots, i mean, these "fake-winning-roar-grab-shirt" type of shots are so over-the-top, exaggerated and sentimental bah.

There is, but there's a big unnecessary purple bit for the number, when white numbers are clearly visible even with the stripes fully on the back (the sponsor clearly is)....... blame UEFA and their silly draconian measures on football shirts being taken up very seriously by the likes of Adidas.
