The seller added the following: YOU ARE INVITED TO BID ON THIS AUTHENTIC ADIDAS 1989-1992 WEST GERMANY MATCHWORN JERSEY SHIRT.**THIS IS AN ORIGINAL SHIRT NOT A REMAKE OR RETRO ISSUE. SIZE: TAG SAYS 42/44"

ITEM CONDITION---:MINT, GENUINE WORN WEST GERMANY SHIRT, COMES WITH EXCELLENT PROVENANCE IN THE FORM OF A SIGNED LETTER FROM THE DFB. THE LETTER IS DATED 1992 AND FROM HORST SCHMIDT WHO IS STILL WORKING AT THE DFB TODAY. THE LETTER SAYS THE SHIRT WAS DONATED TO NEWCASTLE HOSPITAL SO THEY COULD AUCTION IT ON A CHARITY NIGHT IN 1993, IT ALSO SAYS THE DFB RARELY GIVE SHIRTS AWAY TO ANYONE. THE LETTER ALSO MENTIONS THAT THE DFB WERE UNABLE TO GIVE THEM A SHIRT WITH A PLAYERS NAME ON THE BACK, THIS WOULD PROBABLY BE REFERENCE TO THE EURO92 A COUPLE OF MONTHS BEFORE WHEN THE GERMAN SHIRTS FEATURED NAMES ON THE BACK FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, AND MAYBE THAT THE NEWCASTLE HOSPITAL HAD REQUESTED A NAMED EURO92 SHIRT. IT GOES ON TO SAY THAT THEY MANAGED TO "WRING" THIS SHIRT FROM THE KITMANS HANDS AND THAT A PLAYER WAS WEARING IN TRAINING!! CLASSIC SHIRT WITH 'GRADE A' PROVENANCE, PRICE REFLECTS ITS AUTHENTICITY. 9/10.
