I like it, these photos make it look far better than the leaked ones we'd seen before.

It is annoying however that they have managed to get the sleeves right on this shirt but got them so badly wrong on the home!
Anonymous   |2008-06-15
do not like the red line on the blue sleeves
Lukkieoholic99   |2008-06-15
MADE IN INDONESIA...?!??!?!

I COME FROM INDONESIA..!!! hahahahaha...

My Lovely Indonesia... :grin :grin :grin
Blaps  - SAMPLE!!   |2008-06-15
this is a sample....if you look very very very carefully at the 3rd picture down...you can see a slight colour differation...and there is some writing....and it reads "sample".....
.....so its not the real thing
masinho   |2008-06-15
looks like a training top 2 me, a crap 1 at that, but anything with the arsenal/france logo on it shud be burned anyway.
DannyBoy   |2008-06-15
Every leaked picture of the away shirt looks like this and with all these close ups I can't see how it would be a fake!

I think this shirt is really nice and now my only problem is thinking of who to get on the back! 4/5
American Gunner  - Well...   |2008-06-15
The corn yellow color looks putrid. The color scheme looks like it was a product from an LSD hallucination, to be honest.

I hate it. I hate the corn yellow. I wish we had a different away color, and I wish we incorporated some more prominent red in it.

On the positive..the fabric texture looks sweet. I bet it feels great on....it just looks like ****e, sad to say...
fl3m   |2008-06-15
"It's up for grabs now..."

All Arsenal away kits should be yellow with navy blue sleeves.
Rasheed  - Boourns!   |2008-06-15
Very tame design wise. The collar is very boring and the sleeves just don't quite work. At least it's not as craptacular as the racing stripe sides on the new home ****... I mean.... shirt.
abdi   |2008-06-16
As collector of Arsenal shirts...this is one of the worst have seen so far...nike is not doing good job with arsenal kit...the home kit is lame also...
American Gunner  - It might be worth a purchase....   |2008-06-16
so that in 25 years...when someone does a Worst Kit Ever competition...you could take it out and enter it as a potential contest winner. There might be some sort of macabre value in it in that regard, I suppose...

It really stays ugly and gets slightly uglier each time I look at it...yikes!

The new home kit is bad..it looks like a high school or youth kit..but this away kit is just foul.....
Syd   |2008-06-16
Arsenal lost his mind this year...
Grant   |2008-06-16
While I don't dislike the new Home at all (I kind of like the new take on the sleeves) I don't understand why Nike invited the ****storm they're getting by releasing an away kit with contrast sleeves. The first thing everyone says to me is that they should have made the home shirt with this template.

I actually think that this shirt wouldn't look bad with yellow/red/blue sleeves like the home shirt (i.e. make the underarm part of the sleeves yellow like the home has red.

I think the biggest thing is that I can't decide if I would like the shirt to be more yellow and navy or orange and black.

awful. This years Arsenal kits were much nicer
roger   |2008-06-16
avatar As an Arsenal fan, I can say this kit is nice, but nike could done it better...
roger   |2008-06-16
avatar All are made in Indonesia.

great shirt
it is like the shirt of holland and I'm from holland
matt byrne   |2008-06-16
This looks great. I like both shirts.
Alex   |2008-06-16
most teams now go to traditional kits which theve ore in the past but not the same design as before

don't like it
jez   |2008-06-16
ha ur a bud bud
arsenal fan ** 08/09 **  - i love this kit   |2008-06-16
I love both kit and I can't wait to see them in action next season. COME ON ARSENAL
JOE THE GOONER   |2008-06-16
I THINK THAT KIT IS REALY GOOD BUT I THINK THAT NEXT TIME THEY SHOULD DO IT JUST A LITTLE BIT BETTER !!!!!
::WILBER::   |2008-06-16
Both the Arsenal home and away kits are fairly poor, I always considered them to have the best shirts in the league. Perhaps they will grow on me, who knows.
Best kit of the season   |2008-06-17
This is 100 times better than the new Chelsea and Liverpool kits. This is the best 08/09 kit I've seen yet and the best kit in the world since the 04/05 Arsenal home shirt.
Arsenal always have the best kits and play the best football. Now they just need to win something...
The Mighty Rover   |2008-06-17
I like the simplicity of this shirt, the textured fabric and I like the plain crew neck very much.

It's a shame they didn't think to do this in red and white as well.
Adriano_Football_Kit_Guy  - The New Shirt Looks Quite Smart!   |2008-06-17
I like it, it has grown on me since the first time I saw the shirt.

The new away shirt looks very retro and doesnt seem to try too hard to impress, if you get what I mean?

I wonder if this shirt will bring as much luck to Arsenal as when they won the Championship at Anfield a good few years ago now.
Jack   |2008-06-17
I think its great and the problem is alot of you don't like change, Its a good thing we're going back to the yellow away kit and this is paying homage to the 89 away kit which is even better!

Get with the times you losers! :roll
arsenal rule  - Arsenal4life   |2008-06-17
i will defo buy that kit
mitch   |2008-06-18
The pictures are taken from an ebay auction that was up. The reason there is the word 'sample' written is that a store owner is selling the shirt that nike gives football shops for their upcoming product lines (he discussed this in the auction), which is why he pointed out and has a vivid picture of the sample.

if it were a fake, they wouldnt take a picture of the word 'sample'

otherwise, I didn't like it at first, but it has grown on me so far. 4/5, I think it will look much better in person. I'ld like to see what the entire kit looks like before i judge, not just the shirt. I didn't like the home kit for 08/09 until you can see the entire kit together, and i think this will be the same
JP  - The Badge?   |2008-06-19
Any1 notice that the badge looks a bit suspect?, Im not an expert on guessin if things r fake but the badge just looks very....bright
SP  - It's Tradition!   |2008-06-19
I love this traditional look it reminds me of the time we beat Liverpool to win the league :grin
Anonymous   |2008-06-19
the shirt is ment to look the same as the shirt worn against liverpool in 89 to mark 20yrs of beatin them to the league
Ze  - Very Poor!   |2008-06-23
I wasn't impressed by the home shirt n thought that the away shirt might do the justice n balance it out. But it's worse. Who ever gets this will be probably someone with extremely poor taste in fashion. I still love the 06-08 kit n still hate the 06-08 away kit (maron n blue).

Very poor start to the season and I can't see them winning anything again
charlie usedon  - !   |2008-06-24
its Okay!!
Jay Lewis   |2008-06-25
I love it! Really reminds me of Mickey Thomas. Anyone who says this shirt isnt 'arsenal' really needs their heads examining. Its as arsenal as you can get!!!!! As for the new home shirt, lets face it, last years shirt was as 'classic' arsenal as you could get. Take the gold trim/sponser away and you could imagine charlie george running around in it. They were gonna HAVE to make a fair number of changes to make this shirt look different. Personally i think both are great. So what if the sleeves on the home kit arent 100% white. who cares? So long as its red and white then its arsenal.

Good work boys! Ill be proud to wear both kits next year! 2008/2009 = the year of arsenal!
Zac  - master   |2008-06-27
I do not rate the kit atall!

Or the home..... what happened to the white sleeve tradition?

I will purchase both because i am a proud arsenal supporter but will it will not be first in line in my wardrobe !!!
kristian  - noooo!   |2008-06-27
No not really why dont you get your mun to do it you big sop
alex x   |2008-06-28
Look ****ty in these pics but I think it will look better on the players Remember, the genuine "Code 7" player-issued shirts are made with much better, smoother, and shinier material than this waffle "Fit-Dry" **** they use in the replicas that they sell to fans. Still, I think both kits are a big step down from last season, tho I'm glad to be rid of white as an away color.

kelvin  - arsenal away kit   |2008-07-07
the shirt's a little bit below our expectation but it's ok.
kelvin  - the away kit   |2008-07-07
the kit i said earlier is below expectation, i would have prefer a better colour, but it's ok.
bob   |2008-07-08
this isnt real, it looks ****
luke the gooner   |2008-07-09
