This is the new 08/09 Nottingham Forest home kit for their return to the Coca-Cola Championship which will go on sale on July 11. The design of the new Umbro strip was a closely guarded secret - although the Club have offered a sneak preview.
Forest's two European Cup triumphs are commemorated in a new design - along with the two silver stars that adorn the current shirt - as next year marks the 30th anniversary of their first win in the competition. The shirt will be officially unveiled on July 10 before going on sale at the club's official Merchandise Store.
Probablly red with white diamonds below the turnover.
Forest tend not do anything else on their home kits,
will the away be yellow with blue trim(white with black wouldn't make sence when you consider the Sheffield United/Southampton clash unless Umbro come up with a cunning 3rd kit idea once more).
Simply commenting on the shirt and ignoring all rivalries igh this is an excellent effort from umbro. Plain and boring to some, simple and unpretentious to others, I think this effort is better than umbro's efforts where their diamond has been taken to extremes. The collar, although not my favourite style, wasn't enough to distract me when I first viewed it. The minimalist zigzag on the shorts is a nice touch - showing that less is more at times.
Regardless of your football allegiances and adversaries, I as a neutral observer think this is a 4/5. Of course, naff socks could ruin the whole thing! :roll

In Italy (where the tradition started) you are awarded a star when you win TEN top league titles.. now Forest, Villa and Man City and Joe Blogs just throwing fuckin stars on their shirts because it looks nice or they won 1 or 2 good trophies once upon a time... disrespecting the whole point on them imo

I happen to know commons' family, being from skegny myself. Admitadlly sad to see him go but he will be earning 20,000 a week so in the long run xpensive. Earnshaw will be quality his record in that league is 2nd to none. I think jewell was out of his mind letting him go!
