Albania 08/10 Nike Home and Away football shirts E-mail

albania_08_10_nike_football_shirts.jpg

The Football Association of Albania (F.SH.F.) unveiled the new Albania National Team 08/10 home and away football shirts made by Nike.

Founded on June 6, 1930, Albania had to wait 16 years to play the first international match, debuting against Yugoslavia in 1946. In 1932 Albania had already joined FIFA (during the congress June 12 - June 16) and in 1954 it was one of the founding members of UEFA. Albania had been invited to play in World Cup 1934, but owing to organizing difficulties it didn't take part. Their nickname is Kuq e Zinjtë (Red and Blacks)

Thanks to Buti

avatar Pretty nice. Simple, but the quality is great I'm sure. I have two of the new Nike national team shirts and they're so comfortable.

avatar Nice. What did Albania have before Nike? If it was Umbro or Puma, then they sure did a great thing to work with Nike.

Nice shirts, maybe an old style, but nice.
jim   |2008-06-23
Pretty plain.

As usual, Nike doesn't pay too much attention to the lower end club and national teams.

avatar I hate this Nike's serie B templates..

Great badge, even if I would like to see a bigblack eagle without the white circle around
Keir  - Leg-end   |2008-06-23
Well these kits are actually Nike Teamwear kits. The Albanian football authority have bought hundreds of these kits and got some 8 year old called Ulfessan to embroider the logo's on. Fulham did the same in the 07-08 season and so did my team Southport! You can tell its Park Teamwear because it has that Nike swoosh football shield on the left sleeve.
Chuck10  - Training Range Ensemble?   |2008-06-23
First thought that popped to my mind was why would Nike sponsor Albania? I would suspect the Albanian federation would've purchased these Nike kits, since they seem nothing like the range the Nike teams are wearing for Euro 2008.

It's also quite plausible Nike assembled this kit overnight, as I remember seeing a training kit ensemble shortly after signing a deal with Club America.

In that case, Nike's after market penetration, as I don't think Albania is particularly known for being relevant in the sport. Yep, that's it!
Adriano_Football_Kit_Guy  - Simple but effective...     |2008-06-23
I think the new Albanian football kits look very simple, but I personally feel this adds to their charm.

The badge (as mentioned earlier) is a very nice design.

I feel black shorts and black socks would work well with both kits.
Mr.Nike   |2008-06-23
Albania sucks,and couldnīt play
good football enough to qualify at any tournament!!!
Kallenovsky   |2008-06-26
avatar That definitely has to do with the kits .. mm hmm. :roll
roger   |2008-06-23
avatar lol
These kits can be bought online... :zzz
Samo   |2008-06-23
Even Albania can get Nike? lol, and yet England are still stuck with shitty old umbro
Chuck10  - Umbro=Nike   |2008-06-24
Umm, Umbro got bought out by Nike, so who knows if they swap brands whenever England recover their form :grin

However, I do agree that the Umbro logo does keep up with the tradition of the England kit. After all, we're talking about the country that invented the sport.
pm310   |2008-06-23
Whats wrong with umbro cunt?
Kallenovsky   |2008-06-26
avatar I don't see anything wrong with them. Their current jersey models are fantastic.
ben   |2008-06-24
at least umbro is english.

*sh*t shirts though*
tokyochojin   |2008-06-24
Yeah i actually like the fact that umbro sponsors England. It's a traditional English brand that's actually rooted in football, unlike others. The only thing now it is owned by nike it will probably loose some of its individuality.
ertujtuu  - lol   |2008-06-25

Rex Croatorum   |2008-07-02
avatar Nice and simple, i like it. It`s a funny thing, few years ago there was only Croatia in that part of europe wearing Nike, and I remember Serbs and Slovenians saying that we sold our pride to americans. Now? Croatia wears Nike, Slovenia, Serbia, Albania, there is some talking that Hungary will to, Bosnia is also going to have Nikes, they tried them with FK Sarajevo shirts and i went out well. But back to the topic, these are nice shirts, nothing special, but nice.
lorenc   |2008-07-05

Scottish Mob   |2008-08-15
I like your kit, fuck off england all Italy
Eros   |2008-08-20
Im quite proud of this new Nike Albania shirt. The old Umbro was truly a piece of crap. I played with it, and it was horrible...to damn hot! Umbro was designed for England, WHERE IT RAINS THE WHOLE DAMN TIME! So a switch to Nike was a great idea. Now at least the shirts will be comfortable!! And about the design...thats the Albanian jersey right there, no need to add anything to it..keep it traditional. This is not a club, its a national team..so the jerseys should not be about GAY FONTS(puma), they should be simple and represent that country!!
..   |2008-08-25
yeah nice shirt----
where can i buy it??
i'm searched in the internet without reason and i was in tirana but they only have the old kits...
bill   |2008-08-27
dont talk shit
Regi   |2008-09-05
yeah seriously where can we buy this jersey because albaniasoccer.com has been under construction for a while now and I don't think they're going to be back online anytime soon. So alittle help here please.
LOL   |2008-09-06
albaniasoccer.com has been under construction for a while. lol typical albanian... the shirts are mad boring. 1/5
Regi   |2008-09-06
well what do you want the jersey's to have on them??? faces of the players with gay stripes and little gay designs?? Hell no cuz this isn't a club team as you can see it's a national team so what else do you need. Have you guys seen brazils, or hollands jersey?? nothing special about theirs, but I bet you guys love their jersey's more than your own countries jersey fuckin fags.
