Lawliet   |2008-07-03
How come no 3 stars on top of UTD logo, we won it 3 times right ??
trazinho   |2008-07-03
yeah 3 stars would be good
whenyoufeelthepainimwishingico   |2008-07-05
Blue? Three stars? People would think we're City!

Great shirt, but it was easy to make it!
sheep   |2008-07-03
love it
no united fan can be unhappy with this!
you canīt go wrong with a historical kit.
now lets have a new newton heath shirt next season!!!!
Masterpiece   |2008-07-03
I like simple Nike design, but this is a bit too simple.
ManuFan15  - 3rd Kit   |2008-07-03
Yes, it is simple but it's only the 3rd shirt
Let's hope the Home-Kit will be better
Brenden   |2008-07-03
They're keeping the same home kit as last season
Anonymous   |2008-07-03
May 29th 1968 40th anniversay would be, 07/08 seson not 08/09. maybe they were going to use it last year but changed they're minds
Anonymous   |2008-07-03
I guess the season runs til may 29th

retard!!!
rob   |2008-07-07
yeah but next may it'll have been 41 years so i can see where he's comin from.

stop bein a cunt
Harun   |2008-07-03
avatar Simple, but fantastic!

Damn we have to much blue this season, but I don't complain, these kits are awesome!
jordan ogden  - ogden united till ide     |2008-07-03
this is the best top we ave ever had united all the way
K   |2008-07-03
if this is the 3rd kit..i'm definitely gettin it. come on United!
Lee  - Nice     |2008-07-03
Amazing kit, but I'm sad to see the black kit gone after just one season.
roger   |2008-07-03
avatar Very simple, but very effective.
20legend08   |2008-07-03
Would like 3 stars on it though
DannyBoy   |2008-07-03
So United 3 kits next season are red, white and blue!

Stars and stripes haha.

On a serious note another arevage, unimaginative nike kit. This doesn't look a great year from Premier League shirts.
Tim   |2008-07-04
Red, white and blue shirts have been worn by United since 1902, you fool. It was only when the Premier league started that we wore any other colours (with the exception of a few months in 1933). They are also the colours of the Union flag and of a few other countries besides than the USA.

As for being unimaginative, what else could they have done? It's based on the plain blue European Cup final shirt from 1968, why ruin it with anything complicated? It could have been even plainer without the pointless MUFC on the neck, really.
Tim   |2008-07-04
Actually, I just remembered the 70s yellow away kit, but you get my point...
Harry Marks   |2008-07-03
Could have put the old badge on it from when were still a Football Club
Anonymous   |2008-07-03
jealous
Tim   |2008-07-04
Eh?
Anonymous   |2008-07-03
what a suprise manchester united have copied chelea again

first manu spend lots of money just cos chelsea do
then manu copy chelseas success
then you start cheating like chelsea

then you even copy our shirts

what next!
Anonymous   |2008-07-03
who are ya
who are ya
who are ya
when were you when your was shite
Johnny   |2008-07-03
We were making record signings while you were just a small club from Fulham. We also won the European Cup in 1968 wearing blue, long before Chelsea had even entered the competition.

Check on your history, son.
Chris   |2008-07-03
You're kidding, right??
jchoo11   |2008-07-09
wow you are a funny man

how many titles you guys win before the turn of the century?
since you are probably a glory hunter, ill tell you the answer:1 in 1954-5

and when we were rolling on in 90s our influential players werent even expensive (Peter Schmeichel, Ole Solskjaer) and homegrown, unlike your team.

call me again when your team wins PL 10 times
UNITED 4 EVA   |2008-08-26
excuse me? manu copied chelsea success?!!!! what are you on? have you ever watched football? Manchester Utd are far far more successful than Chelsea. dont forget that Chelsea were a mid table team up until 5 years ago

what a retard
cronaldo7   |2008-07-03
I like the idea of a simple shirt, but this is much too simple for my tastes. It looks like a trainer.

On another note, Anonymous is out in front for the "dumbest thing I've ever read" award.
Cal   |2008-07-03
It's just so that the United fans can wear blue around Manchester, and not stand out of the crowd like they would if they wear red

I think Manchester city centre is the only place in the UK that I see LESS red shirts than blue!

City Til I Die!
Tim   |2008-07-04
I'm from Manchester mate, and you don't even see City shirts in JJB! Still celebrating your "double" are you!
rob   |2008-07-07
mate that is the biggest amount of bollocks i have ever read. next time you're in manchester open your eyes.
Fleury  - Equal!'   |2008-07-03
It seems like the Man Utd GK from the last season, but with short sleeve.

jml2028   |2008-07-03
It is similar to the gk shirt, but it is not the same. Can't ask for much more in a kit. Sure it is simple, but as it is a tribute shirt, simple works best. Look at the original. I do wish they would have incorporated the '68 crest on the outside of the kit though.
ric   |2008-07-03
already for sale @ nike.com
Anonymous   |2008-07-03
its a blue t-shirt.
Laurie   |2008-07-03
Simple but Classy better than a lot of the rubbish which has been released from Prem teams this year. Liverpool away is still the worst!!
Myso  - OMG   |2008-07-03
I don't know, how can designers earn money for this? What is hard to make "design" like this? Blue t-shirt, nike logo, ManU Anniversary logo and Sponsor logo... Everyone can make kits like this... I hope it would be better in future, because kits are very very simple theese years, especially from comapanies like adidas or nike.
KRAP   |2008-07-03
Some thick 2wats on ere today
Anonymous   |2008-07-03
glory hunters united! singapore united! Americas team!

Great shirt... Great club
sam bateman  - nice   |2008-07-03
i like it but the black kit was the nicest kit we have had in yrs!! and they have changed it already!! plus it wont feel rite goin 2 old trafford it a blue kit!!
Johnson  - Bad maths   |2008-07-03
'08/'09 is the 41st anniversary of United's EC win.

To say otherwise is embarrassing and ridiculous.
This is like something Liverpool would do.
KJ   |2008-07-03
What about Celtic who celebrated the 40th anniversary of their 1967 win during the 07/08 season?
Tim   |2008-07-04
Couldn't agree more. Umbro have it right with the new Forest kit for example. Nike don't know what they're doing.
REZA   |2008-07-03
We have had some great change strips in recent years, but this has to be the best of the lot.Am definitely getting it.
Blackley Blue   |2008-07-03
I do believe that u****d arnt alowed to use that manchester coat of arms. They've been told off for it in the past as they've never been presented with it as Manchester City were when we moved to maine road.
Bertie Magoo   |2008-07-03
Bitter Blue... 32yrs AWFA
Anonymous   |2008-07-03
its not that they were told off for it its that they couldn't copyright it............
KRAP   |2008-07-03
United use the Manc coat of Arms on their official blazers still
Father Ted   |2008-07-03
Unless I'm much mistaken, this is a plain blue t-shirt. You can get one for Ģ3 from Primark.
kieran cooke   |2008-07-03
i absolutely love this shirt! does anyone know when it's coming out?
dg   |2008-08-28
16th september
cj   |2008-07-03
its simple but i love it. a definate must have. i love nikes simple designs. but they could have put the three stars above the badge though.
Craig   |2008-07-03
No because then it'd look like City's sad crest. :-p
Tim   |2008-07-04
True, but our three stars wouldn't be "purely decorative" - a quotation from the Citeh website - would they!
Bertie Magoo   |2008-07-04
Does anyone know what those 3 stars on the Citeh shirt is supposed to represent...?

3 decades without a pot to piss in...?
lee  - Man City     |2008-07-04
According to Wikipedia,

"Above the eagle and shield are three stars, which are purely decorative."
