This is the new Aston Villa Home Shirt made by Nike for the 08/09 season with their new sponsor Acorns. These are leaked pictures and the shirt is not yet officially released. Villa's new home and away kit will be unveiled next week at Brindley Place. The claret and blue version goes on sale on July 24 while the away shirt goes on online pre-order from August 1 but is available from August 21.
Aston Villa should buy Joaquin Sanchez Rodriguez for 15m Euro and roman pavlychenko for 12m Euros. One is the best one of the best winger in the world and another the one of the great striker which villa can afford economically. If they transfer these 2 players they would surely finish in top 4.
O 'niel please buy joaquin & pavlychenko. Let barry go on 17m. It is not good to keep the palyer against his will besides u are getting quite a good amount of money next season his rating is not going to be more than 6m. I like that they didn't go mad with the design, like the badge... simple crisp and clean. My only critique is the cuffs should have had a claret band otherwise it's a good shirt
Yawwwwwwwn........sorry, i fell asleep as soon as i saw yet another unconvincing shirt by the villans. Fair play to it bein charity but it doesnt need to be so dismal! have a picture of an acorn at least! Please! The villains had a tasty away kit last year but judging from this shirt i wont be expecting much 1/5.
P.S I am not a brummy but my team will kick villa's arse on the first day of the season!
They care for far more than four chealdrens. It's strange after years of Deadly Doug, and seeing ruthless foreign owners coming in buying English clubs, that we seem to have a really good man in Randy Learner. He actually does seem to be willing to put the club and the local area before his own business aims.
I'm not sure about this one, would perfer the acorns logo to have an actual acorn in it, coller looks abit wrong. Sort of the same as last years kit, was looking for a bit more variance, loved the away kit last year!
Still going to get it though no matter what it looks like.
I wish nike made consistent fitting jerseys. the only ones that rarely change are man u, chelsea...they dont care about other epl teams? i order everything in mediums but EVERY year EVERY brand (umbro, adidas, puma) seem to all fit different...its rubbish.

Love the idea villa have forgone a sponsor and advertising a charity, but little dissapointed with nike for the shirt design. Its basic, does not set a powerful image the Villa are an ambitious club. Common nike lets hope the away kit is better. 4 out of 10
I have heard from a good source that this is a fake.
The main k9it, to be revealed Monday has a blue vertical strip running down the body where the AVFC badge is and the acorns sponsor logo has hospice trust underneath.
Anyway, whatever it's like I'll be buying it and wearing it with pride next season.
Let's just all be patient and wait until Monday - Brindley Place 2pm.
I've pre ordered and paid for my'n, but if I'd seen it first there would have been no rush to get one. no style and even less imagination on the part of the designer. or is it being kept simple so as to make more profit on an already hyped up price of a very cheaply made garment?????????
hmmmmm i'm not sure about this one, i'm pretty disappointed with this shirt compared to last years amazing home & away kits, im going to be praying that this shirt won't be unveiled as the new strip on monday but if it is........then it'll grow on me, just like the new crest did last season

i just thought lol, this is blatently a fake for one very good reason, you cant jusy have the word ACORNS written on it, ppl not in the know will just think acorn nuts , they will have to have childrens hospice written underneath it so decipher that its a charity / company
its the same as having 32RED on the shirt instead of 32RED.com without the .com no one would know therefore destroying the fact of what sponsering is about to give more exposure on your company
