Clearly Nike don\'t class them as an \"A\" Team and look at the socks, they don\'t have a fold at the top, instead they have a little band like a womans stocking

Actually, there is an intervew with the merchendising manager of Shakhtar here: shakhtar.com/mpl/press.pl?id=7545 dedicated entirely to the new shirts.

What he says is they only signed with Nike only 3 months ago and had to choose from the templates catallogue and opted for a shirt that Holland used in 2007. If you want a custom design from Nike you should give them 15 months. Shakhtar will have a striped shirt designed for them in the next season only.

I am always amazed at the idea you people think the club has no say in what it wears.

You really think Nike showed up and said, \"You guys are second rate and this is what we are giving you. Pay for it, wear it and enjoy.\",

The club gets presented many ideas from Nike and the club selects what they want. Perhaps the four or five strips Nike presented lack something, but enough with the notion that these manufacturers dictate what is worn to the club.
