Ross County 08/09 Home and Away Football kit E-mail

Ross County unveiled the new kits for the coming 08/09 season. Both home and away kits are by Adidas and will be supplied through Glasgow based sports company Football 1st. The home strip will remain navy but the big news is the Club’s decision to return to red for the away strip.

Inverness based HIGHnet, Scotland’s leading business communications provider, have agreed a sponsorship deal which will take in the next 2 seasons. The agreement comes after several years of strengthening ties between Ross County and HIGHnet, who have been one of the strongest supporters of the Club’s acclaimed Youth Development programme.

HIGHnet’s managing Director, Dave Siegel, was understandably delighted with the deal, "We’ve been involved with Ross County for a long time now, both as fans and as a corporate sponsor. Our collaboration with the Club to support their youth development scheme formed Ross County Telecom, and given the exciting times which lie ahead for both our business and the Club, we see this sponsorship deal as a natural development in the HIGHnet-RCFC relationship."

The choice on strips was made largely by the Football Department, and Derek was understandably delighted that the team will be playing in the famous three stripes of the German manufacturer.

The Head Coach explained, "You shouldn’t underestimate the importance of factors like kit and training gear to a team and you could see that the players were delighted to come back on the first day of pre-season training and find Adidas gear waiting for them. I think little psychological factors like this are hugely important – when they know that they are wearing the same type of kit as both the Euro 2008 finalists were playing in I think it gives their confidence a wee boost."

Anonymous, you can suck my balls. How does winning your division make you a shit team? You're a wankstain. Who do you support? Good top, great team. They shoul swap the home and away shorts around, though.

I would imagine adidas have had no direct input into Ross County's kit, other than designing teamwear kits that Ross County (via Football 1st or whatever) have bought.

I too have NO IDEA why they've desided to mix and match templates. Other than the fact that the 'snake' shorts are a bit dearer.

Sorry, read "home" for "away" and vice versa.

Anyone else left feeling kind of old at the fact Derek Adams is a manager now?

I am so pumped that RCFC got Adidas kits this year because I am from Ross County, Ohio, USA and have become a Staggies fan. I will be emailing the team shop to find out how much it would cost to get one shipped to the "other" Ross County.

simply bum

Adidas are just awful right now. How has such a reputable company sunk so deep in design? This kit is straight out of 1997.
