Reading FC launched their new home, away and goalkeeper kits for the 08/09 season made by Puma. The new ranges have been developed in conjunction with Puma, the Club's technical kit partner, and feature the branding of new Club sponsors Waitrose. The front of the home shirt retains our signature blue and white, with the addition of gold detail picking up the gold element of the club logo to celebrate the first decade at Madejski Stadium.
The away shirt is a Puma 'King' design in sunset orange to ensure our players get noticed away from home! And the new goalkeeper's kit comes in bold black, featuring a simple high v-neck.
Using the latest in sportswear technology to ensure the ultimate in playing comfort as well as style, these are exclusive designs for Reading FC and incorporate many technical features including a fine mesh back to provide moisture wicking with breathable qualities.
The replica kit is identical to the playing kit, unlike some clubs who produce their replica kit to a lower technical spec. Reading FC have now kept prices for replica kit unchanged for the past eight years.
yeah its ok.. bit like an msv duisburg shirt withthe side panels.. unusual to see such an understated sponsor logo. its hardly noticeable in the long shot photograph.
Looks ok i suppose at least their being different, nothing special don't like the bright orange that seems to be getting ever more popular in football. First thing i noticed was the the sponsor, and to be honest I would have never have thought 'Waitrose' would be ever become a football sponsor.
bellamy10 tht is a pretty retarded comment, and spacecruiser if you are a grown man wearing a football shirt isnt a good thing, unless playing football...
What is the problem with a "grown man" wearing a football shirt? Since you are the expert, what is the age at which a "man" cannot represent? Is it a height / weight issue? Or, are you just incredibly self conscious?
Gotta say do like all of them, it is a relief that they haven't gone for the Spurs/euro template regards to the kits.
Orange is good as it means they will not need a 3rd kit, thus the black/grey kit of last year can now be officially dumped.
Yeah i hope they can hang onto the players that want to stay nad keep them for the next campaingn and hope they return to their rightfull slot in Premier Division land.
I have been really looking forward to seeing the new home shirt..
And i bloody hate it, i really really do.
The green sponsor is one thing, but the gold does not compliment the shirt whatsoever, and it has a white back!?
What's happened to the HOOPED shirts?
Or the red trim?
Maybe i can buy the new QPR shirt and stitch the reading badge on it
These kits are the best that Reading have had for ages! As for the idiot who mentioned 2nd rate totty modeling them, the two girls are actually players from Reading Womens team and i think that they are a hell of a lot fitter than most women footballers!!
was in south london round by loftus road and i gotta say, i saw some of the ugliest, fattest people ive ever laid my eyes on, brought me to tears, only ever seen more minging birds at disneyword usa. qpr = fat, ugly & shit
