Airdrie United revealed the new kit and new sponsor Logo for season 2008/09 at a Press conference this morning at St Andrew's Hospice. As part of the ongoing and increased support of Airdrie United, the Gillespie Investment Group have this year, in a groundbreaking move, donated the Shirt Sponsorship to St Andrew's Hospice.
The Hospice provides unrivalled support to the whole of Lanarkshire but has a massive fundraising requirement each year to cover it's costs. As a result of this initiative it will help promote awareness of the sterling service St Andrew's Hospice provides to the whole of Lanarkshire and will ultimately assist in their fundraising and the Club will be working closely with them going forward.
This sponsorship is entirely free to the Hospice as Gillespie Investment Group has donated the whole package as part of their ongoing commitment to the community.
I think it looks very good. They've always worn this design and this current shirt has clean lines and a crisp look. Must admit to not knowing too much about Surridge kits but they certainly have the most deserving sponsor of any team this season. Kudos to them.
I believe last seasons kits were better, I don't like the positioning of the Surridge logo and team crest, also the sponsor would look much better a little lower down instead of touching the diamond. I guess I just don't like how the Surridge logo and team crest tend to sit on the diamond.
