Queens Park Rangers Football Club revealed the new third kit for the 2008-09 season made by lotto. The unveiling of the strip, which will be worn by the R's First Team squad in the opening pre-season friendly of the campaign against Stevenage Borough on Saturday, follows hot on the heels of the brand-new collection of the Lotto Sport Italia home kit which was revealed at the start of the month.
QPR Player / Coach, Gareth Ainsworth, who modelled the shirt at a recent photo-shoot, said: "Black strips always look really smart and Lotto have done a fantastic job with the materials and the cut of the shirt."
Hungarian midfielder Akos Buzsaky echoed Ainsworth's sentiments, commenting: "The players love the shirt.
"The home strip is symbolic of Queens Park Rangers Football Club with the Blue and White Hoops on show, but this is a great alternative."
Deputy Commercial & Marketing Director, David Orman, said: "The third kit is back by popular demand and we're really delighted with it.
"It has been a pleasure working with Lotto Sport Italia in developing new designs for the QPR kits and the fashion range and we're really pleased with the feedback from the players, especially regarding the third kit."
Lotto Sport Italia - the Italian sportswear company, acting as Technical Sponsor and Official Supplier until 2013 - will provide QPR with the apparel and accessories for matches, training sessions and leisure time, for the First Team through to the Centre of Excellence.
Created by Lotto's Research and Development Centre in close co-operation with QPR, the new third kit is the right fusion of designs characterising the Club in the past and the present, integrating the new Club crest.
The new third team kit, developed by Lotto's Research and Development Centre, is black and yellow, with the jersey designed in a slight V neck.
The distinguishing element of the new jersey is the inserts, made of Dry Tech T-Mesh, a fabric that allows perfect perspiration. In terms of design, these inserts form seven points that converge centrally, leading the eye toward the new Club crest and the Lotto logo.
The new kit is made of Poly Tech Stretch fabric - an extremely lightweight, breathable elasticised fabric - that ensures maximum comfort and the least amount of fatigue during play.
the differences are too little. Its the same template with different details. Compare the Liverpool, Benfica and Real Madrid 2007 kits, all the same template, but with little differences.
The Lotto '06 template
had more lines on it... see here
that is the 08-09 costa rica jersey not a 06 template. in germany, costa rica wore joma, so that isnt an 06 template, it's lotto's signature template. the 06 Ukriane jersey looked like that, and they kept it, but they finnally broadening on it
Awful... if you showed these picks to a QPR fan this time last season they could never have imagined this was going to be their new away top this year...
Enough with the black kits already.... it's been done too many times now.
IMAGINE if you were expected to announce that Zinedine Zidane was to become your new manager. IMAGINE if you instead unveiled a new club badge. IMAGINE if the new club badge was as TERRIBLE as THAT!
Yeah why is it the third kit? What colour is the away kit going to be? I heard rumour about a red and white combo, hence the requirement of a third kit I guess.
And that "Power Rangers" Lotto design is outdated now
