Inter Milan 08/09 Home and Away Nike kits launched E-mail
Saturday, 19 July 2008

We already showed you some quality leaked pictures of the Home and Away shirts (without the scudetto), But now Captain Javier Zanetti, Marco Materazzi, Adriano, Julio Cesar, Maicon and Amantino Mancini were the Nerazzurri models for the presentation of the new Nike kits for the 2008/09 season.

Inter's commercial director Katia Bassi welcomed members of the press to the unveiling ceremony at the training ground, while Nike Italy sports & marketing director Cristiano Carugati illustrated the features of the brand new kits.

To celebrate Inter and Nike's ten-year partnership, there was an exhibition of black and blue shirts from the past decade.

Nike presented a personalised shirt to José Mourinho, who commented: "The kit is beautiful, but it will only be beautiful if it's a winner. It's up to us now. We have made a strong start to our work and we will continue to do so in Brunico in the coming days.

"We play our first two friendlies there but I don't like the term 'friendlies' very much. These are two matches we want to win to build a winning season."

i like the away kit ... home is not 2 bad .... but the golden firelli is shit !
DKool   |2008-07-19
The home kit is amazing. More blue than black in the shirt and even though the great white shorts of 2008 are replaced by black shorts this season, the socks are blue and this is terrific.

greenz   |2008-07-19
Feel a bit dissapointed about this, could have been so much better (like most of the new Nike kits).... Especially after seeing some of the mockups floating around
el salvador   |2008-07-19
Is the away kit brown/white or black/white ?
ren   |2008-07-19

Alexandre   |2008-07-19

the italy flag is really unnecessary, it really ruins this awesome kit...
me   |2008-07-19
the put that flag on the shirt because they are champions... it's kind of logo
moi  - re:   |2008-07-21
enjoy the last months with the scudetto, because it will returnd where it belongs, to the white-black Juventus shirt.
Interfan VII   |2008-07-24
Yes, yes you can dream the whole year...but the Scudetto remains in Milan, at INTER!!!!

Forza Ner'azurri!!!!

The away kit is brown/white...actually... chocolate colour/white
G   |2008-07-19
the italy flag is the scudetto badge for defending Serie A champs.....they also do a badge for the Coppa Italia champs as well (Roma this year)......so yea its necessary

All very nice! I especially like the brown. And I think the gold sponsor on the home shirt looks fantastic.
rutgerus   |2008-07-20
I actually quite like these kits, even though i am an AC Milan fan. I think that if they made the 'Pirelli' gold then they should do the same for the Nike tick.
joethemexican   |2008-07-20
i think the scudetto looks better in a juve shirt
that's my humble opinion
ayomaju   |2008-07-20
I hope Nike will not make shirts with same design anymore.. How can two big teams, Arsenal and Inter, have the same shirts?! Radiculous...
tim  - ?     |2008-07-20
y is mancini trying it on

Last time with Italian scudetto in the chest...
giaco   |2008-07-21
i have this new shirt, the scudetto badge comes not attached to the shirt, you have an option to iron it on yourself or keep it off. i must say the material is VERY nice i also given a free nike inter shirt though i pre-ordered this from inter.it
Masterpiece   |2008-07-21
Both great kits, although the away one reminds me a lot on Arsenal away kit...
