Shrewsbury Town unveiled their new kits for the upcoming 08/09 season at a special press launch. Town players and top London models joined together on Monday night to launch Shrewsbury Town's brand new home and away kits and leisure wear from Prostar. The new range of Prostar Team Kits, Training and Leisure Apparel were unveiled with a Fashion Show.
Shrewsbury supporters got their first opportunity to see the kit in the flesh as Town played West Bromwich Albion in a pre-season friendly wearing the new home outfit which has been manufactured by Prostar.
Town will play against Stoke City at the New Meadow on 2nd August in their brand new away kit.
New Prostar shirt: £35
New Prostar shirt + one of last season's shirts: £40
The home one is a bit of a Canterbury Pompey rip-off which is why it looks like a rugby shirt. The black one is better. The double stipe on both sets of socks is OTT.
AFC Telford do not have their kits made by Adidas, they merely buy an Adidas kit. You call up Adidas and they won't have a clue who you're talking about.
Pro Star are no school brand, they've been making kits for years, much longer than Carlotti and Macron crap or Vannandel even! They also make Wycombe Wanderers, Chester City and Accrington Stanley's kits and make the kits for two international sides.
Only a wanky trend obsessed idiot would worry about whether the kit was made by Adidas or Nike (who don't give a toss about anyone who wears their kit outside of the big clubs). Ask anyone who works in the industry and they'll tell you that Pro Star are the industry standard in terms of quality. I'm not a fan of all their designs but I think these are quite nice.
At least they've had a kit specially designed for them unlike the tons and tons of off the shelf crud that Nike are shipping out. Two local pub teams round my way have the exact same kit as my local senior side Southend. Now that's a joke.
Oh im sorry i must be confused!!!!
There was me thinking that AFC Telford signed a 3 year deal to have their kits PROVIDED by adidas, i didnt realise that what that actually meant was that the club had to pay to wear the shirt?????
