This is the new France home shirt for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification made by Adidas.

France will wear the new shirt in qualifying group 7 for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The group is comprised of France, Romania, Serbia, Lithuania, Austria and Faroe Islands.

France and Faroe Islands were also drawn together in the previous FIFA World Cup qualifying round, while these two along with Lithuania were drawn together in the 2008 European Championship qualifying round. France met Romania in the Euro 2008 group stage, where the two played to a draw.

I like it. Hard to believe whaen I first saw it but it grew on me. Someone on another site suggested that they should have made the top dark blue stripe red which I agree would look amazing!!! Not too late to change it Adidas!!!

i know these guys whip out new kits at the drop of a hat but it\'s really getting out of hand. so they wore the last blue home kit for a grand total of what, 5 competitive games? i mean it\'s cool and all but it\'s only a matter of time before they issue a new kit for each match.

1/5

WHERE IS THE RED TRIM BETWEEN THE THREE WHITE STRIPES?

It could have been a great kit, but the lack of the tipical French red stripe between the white stripes is unacceptable

C\'mon u mean it is only for WC2010 qualifying only? then when WC2010 really come another will be out? and like some said it looks like a Tshirt material to me.

Lucky i did not buy the France Euro 08 jersey, they used it like less then a year.

At a time when club jerseys are coming out, France release their new jersey ... ... great, so is Germany or Spain going to follow?

The interesting thing is of course I think it has allot to do with nike taking over the French kit contract in 2011.
Adidas are therefore getting their kits in so that they can max out on their money grabbing oppertunities.
i quiet like it, the red stripe at the top stripe/hoop would have made it very special, and maybe thye are getting fans used to the idea that the french shirt shall not have a red stripe down the sleeves. The shorts and socks are they the same as before or will that change as well. I thought it strange when subside Sports reduced the French top as soon as they were dumped out of Euro2008. Now we know why.
As for Spain and Germany, being as they both had a good/great E2008 i cannot see them changing their kits, allthough I suspect both to have a 3rd kit out by the end of this year. Wasn\'t there a leaked photo of Spain 3rd a few months ago?

I like the retro-style look. However, I definitely agree with FDV that it is sorely lacking red accents, which are essential on any France shirt. That was a bad mistake.

This is a masterpiece. Not a traditional shirt but is very nice.

I read in another web that this shirt was fake.

Is very strange that Adidas makes a new shirt for World Cup qualification, maybe beacuse Nike will be the new supplier in 2011.

Usually I am all for more conservative designs, but this one looks stylish and [censored]y, I particularly like the retro collar, with which the old F.F.F. logo would have fit much much better than the new one.

I just hope that the jersey will be worn with white shorts and red socks as tradition commands

the FFA signed a 10 year contract with nike, i believe that it was on this website.

nonetheless it is a nice shirt.

I don\'t think this jersey is a fake because the Adidas contract with the FFF runs until mid 2010.
Adidas last competition with Les Bleus will be the next World Cup.
They simply make another shirt to take advantage of their deal which is running out!

I\'m actually quiet positively surprised by this shirt. I also love the old school collar...
With white short and red socks it will be a classic!

4/5

I think they are competing with Borussia Dortmund on who has the most shirts/year.Next is they are going to have the first half shirts, the second half shirts, the warm up shirts, the warm down shirts, the press conference shirts, the neutral ground shirts etc.

one thing for sure is that the stripes dont end at the sleeve unlike when u buy the previous range of kits the stripes end at the sleeve, but in the Euro it ends half way like what the current club kits do.

i think they are making a crap shirt for a going-to-crap team with a hopeless manager. probably with Henry, Vieira, Gallas and co in that piece of rag.

I think this is a great shirt. If they put a red stripe in the middle of two white stripes on the sleeves then that is the accent taken care of in a discreet and stylish way. When this gets a number on the top left (as we look) it will be superb.

...or they could finish it off better on the end of the sleeves with red, white and blue elastic type material, not leave it as is.

I think it\'s a great shirt, and I\'m glad they\'ve got rid of the red for once; the blue and red combination was very attractive once upon a time, but not anymore...the last shirt looked like a powerpoint slide. I\'m sure the red will be back, but in the meantime a couple of years with something a little different is a refreshing change - remember England\'s daliance with turquoise for Euro 96? Not something you\'d want permanently, but something a bit different to capture a certain period, and looked back upon fondly. I know Adidas\'s motives are a bit dubious here, but at least they\'ve designed a great shirt (a rarity indeed for Adidas these days).

I got the Euro 2008 france home shirt gor christmas and i thought that was very nice, i just dont think this really looks like a traditional france home shirt!
Their kit is traditionally Royal Blue, with white shorts and red socks, i dont think red socks would go with this as their is no red on the shirt what so ever.
Its also a shame they have taken away the red stripe from the sleeve, made it easy to identify as a france kit.
Not as nice as the Euro one and I will not be getting it.

3/5

Na dont think this is the new shirt. I bet it was an idea for the Euro 2008 shirt. I remember seeing a tv show years ago when they showed possible ideas for l\'pool kits.

A number of shirts were actually made and shown to Liverpool and adidas execs to see response.

I agree with the comments about it looking like a tennis shirt. I guess this must be the real deal tho\'. I was wondering why the most recent French shirts were so cheap on a numbers of web sites and even in the shops here in Hong Kong. Now I know why . I have to say I just don\'t like the overall look of the shirt or the collar for that matter. It doesn\'t cut the mustard for me. The most recent shirts before were miles better in my opinion. I hope Adidas don\'t go down the same path for other nations shirts.

PEOPLE .....
just wonderin ..
What tha .... happend to the old days with the old beautiful shirt ...
i MYSELF think the designers for the adidas company have lost thier talent ....for some reason !!!!
look at all the latest shirts also shoes and jackets ... though there are some OK ones or a bit more than OK.
BUT its deffenetly horrable when compared with the ones that were on copple of years ago
And whats with the missin red .... really ... french people (like myself) will surely dislike this one becoz the France shirt and flag are known as BLEU , BLANC , ROUG
forever ... and that should, would,co uld never be changed
ithink 0/5 or less

Great kit, much better than the Euro 08 offering in my opinion. Great retro style, sure it lacks red accents... but at some point you have to make departures from past designs to freshen things up a bit. As long as they wear white shorts and red socks, they will still look like Les Bleus to me. Worst thing about these kits is the terrible fonts Adidas chose for Euros and are still using for these kts. Here\'s hoping Adidas goes out with a bang for France\'s 2010 kit.

French football and Nike? Kind of a scary thought.
