The Mirror newspaper revealed that David Beckham will wear the number 75 shirt . Apparently 75 was the only vacant squad number that Milan had available, but Becks won't mind too much: it's also the year that he was born.

High shirt numbers are very popular in Milan, Ronaldinho opted to go for number 80 on his back.. the year in which he was born (1980)... Since #10 was taken by Seedorf.

Shevchenko took the number #76 because Pato had the number #7. Shev was born in 1976.

Same will happen for David Beckham when he joins AC Milan... he will take the #75 jersey since he was born in 1975 and both numbers #7 and #23 are taken

Apart from 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38 etc etc etc

Whats their source for this? A shirt with un-official printing on the back doesn\'t prove Beckham will be 75!

I hate that footballers wear such high numbers. Marketing with weird numbers should be kept to the american basketball league. Wearing high numbers should be worn by american \"football\" players. This is real football with our traditions.
