David Beckham has donated the shirt in which he made his record-equalling 108th England cap to charity.
The number 17 shirt worn by Beckham will now be auctioned on behalf of The Bobby Moore Fund.
"It was a very, very generous gesture," Stephanie Moore told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"That shirt is of great emotional value to David.
"It was very kind and generous of him to donate it to the charity so we can auction it to raise funds for dedicated bowel cancer research - the disease that killed Bobby so young."
"I know Bobby would have been the first to congratulate him. David has given so much to the sport and continues to so on so many different levels across the world, we should be proud of him.
"To have achieved 108 caps at this level, whether he goes on for part or all of the match, is considerable.
"Bobby would have smiled and said well done, congratulations, enjoy the moment and go on and do even better."
Moore died in 1993, aged 51, after suffering from bowel cancer and the fund was set-up in his honour the same year in partnership with Cancer Research UK.

I understand the MLS is not the best league and a lot of you slag it but it still is the main league of North America and it is not as bad as you\'s think!
He is such a traitor man, he was marketed so much and now he is gone pretty much as soon as he got here!
As to the Beckham leaving the MLS to go to the Serie A well all i can say is, that is the right move for him and his career.
The MLS isn\'t a young league so isn\'t quite up to the level of what he is use to and maybe he didn\'t quite expect it to be so different. The move to LA i think was also helped by the certain someone called Victoria! because she wanted to to make it big in America. As for Beckham, well...i doubt he will stop trying to improve the quality of football over in America because he is very dedicated to his \"Soccer\" schools and when he retires that is what he will probably concentrate on when he has more time. He can\'t change the standard of football over in America all by himself due to the fact that there is only one of him and the rest of the players in that league are still not up to that high standard that they are all hoping he was going to magically turn them into. So for all of you people that are saying he is giving up on what he went out there to do are just fools and must realise he isn\'t a miracle worker because it starts with the younger generation that are in his \"Soccer\" schools and not with the players that are already in the league today..
Beckham deserves to play in a competitive team in a competitive league and for what he wants to do with his career he deserves to go to AC Milan and play to the level he can still play at and that just shows his commitment to the game, his willing to work extremely hard (like he always does) to get where he wants to be and shows how much he still loves the game.
You are an ignorant [censored]. Don\'t hate the yanks for what the government has done. I can think of tonnes of reasons for me to hate the English for what their government has done (especially to Ireland) but I choose not to.
Don\'t be a prick!
Anyway, thank god Beckham left MLS. Now, whenever I go out to see my local club, New York, play a match, I won\'t be bothered by gawkers or spectators and I\'ll only be surrounded by fans of the game. Who cares if the league is only 13 years old? Honestly, I bet that United back 13 years into it\'s existance would get killed by a present-day MLS side. You can\'t expect a league to be world-class before it\'s been around for 30+ years, can you?
Given that I\'m not English I wholeheartedly agree with your points, they are ignorant sheep alongside their American cousins
Regards
Some great, well reasoned arguments. You might want to check up on (and you obviously see it as a bad thing) your own foreign President. But given that I\'m not English I do have to agree with your points, the English, alongside the Amercians, are generally ugly, overweight, ignorant and culturally bereft.
King regards
