AC Milan in Fly Emirates sponsorship talks

E-mail

Corriere della Sera reports that there is an interest from Fly Emirates to become the new official shirt sponsor of Milan, and take over from Bwin after their contract - worth 10 million Euro per year - expires in 2010.

During the match against Palermo, the guest of honour at the stadium was Sheikh Al Maktoum.

It’s said that after the game against Palermo, Galliani and Al Maktoum met in a luxury hotel in the center of Milan, where the two debated figures and numbers about the shirt sponsorship for about an hour, with Fly Emirates willing to pay 20 million Euro each season for four years with an option for a fifth.

It’s also said that they are interested in financing the construction of a new stadium.

When you watch serie A in s.siro and you see only 5000 people in there you\'re watching a internzionale\'s match.

New stadium doesn\'t always mean bigger.

If you\'ve been to the San Siro you\'ll know that the facilities there for the general public are pretty shoddy even though it does look beautiful on the outside.

Also they\'re probably looking to get out of stadium sharing as no club really wants that.

the sport brand FILA has made its debut in Brazilian market releasing the new kits from Figueirense, that before wore Umbro, and made a great job.

The new stadium would be great, not just for Milan but for the Italian football. Pretty much all the stadiums have been renovated in the early 90´s so its about time the FIGC did something about it. Italy is losing its place to Germany pretty soon if they don´t do anything.

Why on earth would they want a new stadium. The San Siro is quite possible the greatest stadium in the world. Atmosphere is quality with the steep stands. It is a feared place to go. New modern plastic bowls with soft seats like arsenal are the end of real football fans and the start of the prawn sandwitch era, never let that happen to Italina football. The atmospehers at those stadiums are amazing.

^^
Sorry but the San Siro is a complete dump. There isn\'t a single stadium anywhere in Continental Europe as nice as The Emirates.

What goes well with a prawn sandwich? Hmmm. How about Chateuneuf du Pape? Certainly not chianti --harharhar!

The emirates may be nice. But football is supposed to be a working class sport, not a day out at the ****ing cinama. Plastic stadium soft seats + ****e atmosphere. Nothing spacial about it, no steep intimidating stands, just another new stadium with no personality

5.000 attendence in S.Siro games ?

ACM has every year 50.000 (49-55) season tickets sold for home games

what the hell

= ACM has the biggest home attendance of the whole Serie A
